Customer Service Terrible (Rude)

For being such a luxury hotel, the staff (except the wonderful young lady that worked the evening shift when we checked it - she was sweet and wonderful) were rude and pretentious. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were great. However, we booked there because there was a restaurant and a bar. COVID had it closed, which was expected. However, there was not even any coffee in the lobby offered. No quick breakfast given. The maids never came to our room. We had to go to the front desk to get clean towels. Then we had to go to get coffee pods because they only give you two day. Then we had to go back down in the morning to get more coffee cups (because there were only two). When I went to the night clerk to get the coffee pods I also asked for creamer. He said they didn't have creamer. I said, well, there was some in our room we just need more. Could he get some from housekeeping. I was told housekeeping was not on duty (very rudely.) The next morning our friend went down to get cups for his room and asked for creamer and more coffee pods. That staff member gave him a key to a room on the floor and said help yourself. There was muffins, breakfast burritos, creamer, coffee, cups, cereal. Why weren't we offered the same or told about this? I have travelled almost every month in 2020 and stayed as hotels that didn't have the "luxury" rating and got great service, breakfast, free coffee, great rooms. Definitely would not stay here again. We stayed there last year at the same time and we were so happy with our stay, This year it was even better. They follow all the protocol regarding the COVID -19. The room was very clean and hand sanitizer were everywhere .Front desk Ashley was very great and try her best to consider all the concerns. We had small confusion with the breakfast which BreAnna solved it in best possible way. The room service was very convenient. Good food at very acceptable price . I definitely return to this hotel . The Double Tree in Oak Ridge, Tennessee was a pleasant stay. Because of my stay during the COVID-19, not all amenities were available. But the staff did a great job making my stay easy. The receptionists did a great job and Holly in particular did a great job, nothing too much trouble. I’ll be sure to stay here the next time I’m in the area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

One night visit before the quarantine

I was traveling through Tennessee from Missouri. This Hotel is a few minutes off of I-40E and it's also in the eastern time zone. When I stayed at this DoubleTreee, it was the last day before the COVID-19 quarantine really took effect, the weekend of March 21. That next day, Burchfield's Restaurant, attached to the hotel, closed because of the pandemic. But Will Hooker, at the front desk, provided excellent service for check in getting settled for the evening. Because I am a diamond Hilton member, I was given a drink voucher at Burchfield's. It was really appreciated and welcomed. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. I woke up refreshed and ready to drive to South Carolina. I look forward to staying here again.
