Do not stay here!

Absolute worst experience, do not stay here! DO NOT STAY HERE! First, we agreed to $119.70 (w/taxes and fees online) but were charged $130 for our non-smoking king room. We chose this location due to the fact they have an onsite restaurant/bar. Nope, that’s closed due to COVID and the website doesn’t tell you that before booking. There is no notification even once you are in the room. They are only taking reservations for use of the pools due to covid, these were booked already. The room had many random long hairs within the bed linens and throughout the bathroom. The shower still had an opened bottle of shampoo from the previous people that stayed in the room. It was very obviously not cleaned well or sanitized. They just slap the stickers on the room to make you think they sanitized. Worst of all, I awoke to heavy cigarette and other smoke in our room. Everything that we brought in the room smells of stagnant cigarette smoke. My throat hurts and I couldn’t sleep due to this. I would have placed a towel under the door but they only gave us 2 bath towels and 1 wash cloth for our king room. DO NOT STAY HERE! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

not the best choice i’ve ever made!

when we arrived at the hotel using our GPS, it directed us to an upper level parking area which looks like it could be the front of the property where u check in. when grabbing our luggage and walking to the door, it was a no-access point. when we found the main entrance, we were directed to our room on the 16th floor and were told to use the elevator at the end of the hall. ok, great....so we again grab our belongings and head for the end of the hall elevator. no one told us that it was 14 miles long and that there was a back parking lot you could park your car in to be closer to the elevator to the 16th floor. which mind you is still not anywhere close to the elevator, it’s pry 10 miles instead of 14. absolutely ridiculous because there was no bellhop or anyone to carry our luggage and my hands were completely full as the staff watched me struggle to get to the elevator. i then went into my room and thought wow, this place is great until i sat down on the bed and looked down to see someone’s snacks from the last stay all over the floor under the bed. yuck!! it was more than there snacks too btw, found someone’s plastic tooth floss things as well. yummy! so anyway, i know this is long but i have a lot to say...so now it’s saturday and you must sign up to use the pool for an hour a day and just so happens that we were 15 mins late for our slot and they had already given it away and now the pool is full. great, that made my daughter super happy to be here! back up a little bit and let’s talk about the breakfast that they claim has a surcharge, nothing is free....u pay for a full price meal if u want breakfast here. so an hour in the pool and no breakfast, and someone’s left over snacks on the floor and not to mention the staff that think they are stars and you are from mars...can’t wait to pay $360 to come here again!!! i don’t recommend this place to anyone! oh yeah and one more thing, they have one microwave in the lobby that is 14 miles from your room if u need to heat something up and no freezer in your mini fridge! fair warning from me since they don’t warn you and i brought ice cream!!! Safe spot to stop

Found ourselves in Pittsburgh when Amtrak broke down; 90 degrees and downtown deserted. Found a room at Doubletree, quarter mile from train station and greeted by friendly receptionist and clean room. Under normal circumstances we wouldn’t be impressed by the corporate style of this Hilton but we certainly were pleased to find a helpful staff working hard despite Covid challenges. Getaway

Everyone was amazing. Especially Chef Mike, Daivon from the front desk, and Curtis from the front desk. All went above and beyond to make sure we had a seamless stay. It can't be easy with the guidelines from covid but they made sure everything was on point. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

no problems

just far enough from downtown Pitt, nice location. staff was great. was in town for a wedding in downtown, so was fun exploring for craft beer on way back from 3 Rivers. had dinner one night and was tasty. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
