Wedding Weekend Extravaganza

Oct 28th, 2020

I cannot say enough about the staff of this hotel. Every single person I encountered was fantastic, polite, and on top of their game! I booked out a block of rooms for my wedding weekend. Check in was a breeze and the staff was so accommodating to my rowdy bunch. Also due to COVID, we made a last minute venue change and rented out the Anastasia ballroom for our reception. Maggie Goller-Cornelison was my main point of contact for setting up the reception. I literally had no clue what I was doing and was in such a time crunch and she held my hand every step of the way. She had amazing insight and suggestions, and literally made my event phenomenal. She even went above and beyond and arranged for the lobby bar to stay open late for my guests and for the live entertainment to stay late. She took every bit of stress off of my shoulders and was the real star of the trip. I can't wait for my next trip to St.Augustine, and now I will stay in the doubletree every time. Heated pool was an added bonus, rooms were spotless, and the cookies at the front desk are to die for. Great location as well. Couldn't fault anything about the weekend. I don't know the next time I will be together with all of our loved ones like that, and I am just so glad we were all staying there because it was just a perfect weekend. Thank you guys for everything! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good service and great location!

Oct 27th, 2020

This hotel, amidst the pandemic, has risen above! The service was really good (except for a little attitude I got at checkout). All employees seem to working multiple jobs and are doing so cheerfully. The shuttle was available to take us anywhere downtown and pick us up afterwards which was great - and safe - if you wanted to enjoy a cocktail (or 6)! Location was excellent - directly across from the 208 ft. cross at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche (or stop #20 on the basic route of the trolley tour). Wonderful! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Meh!

Oct 16th, 2020

This property has VERY nice people working for it and I suppose it is a good value proposition for those visiting the city for a few days. Also, they are taking care to sanitize, and it was acceptably clean if not quite immaculate. But it’s a little scuffed up, and the location, which seemed to be good on the map, was a bit dingy and blocks away from the pretty side of town. A little disappointing, but not a rip-off by any means. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Double Tree Historic District

Sep 30th, 2020

We had an excellent stay at the Double Tree. We choose this hotel because of location and the COVID cleanliness that they provide. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All rooms were cleaned with Lysol - according to the sealed door. The rooms were clean, the beds were extremely comfortable. The location was within walking distance to many things in the historic district. The only thing we missed was decaf coffee option in the morning. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

WILL stay there again!

Sep 26th, 2020

FIirst stay at this hotel but not the last. Beautiful CLEAN facility that is centrally located in historic downtown. Reasonably priced for such a nice hotel, The staff in is friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. Anything you needed was given to you or sent up to your room ASAP. Not to mention the most COMFORTABLE bed and pillows ever. Important to me: the bathtub was slip resistant and had a grab bar. (I can't tell you how many times in other hotels I thought I was going to slip and crack my head open in the shower - it was like ice skating on the floor of the tub). Also important to me: air conditioning unit worked perfectly - nothing like coming back to your room on a hot day and getting the room as cool as you need it. Special shout out to Jordan Cain at the front desk and Shedrick Cosby, Engineer for their outstanding customer service. Thank you, gentlemen. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
