Family engagement vacation 2020

Jul 5th, 2020

This was a great location close to everything including the Historic town. Unfortunately it’s during the coronavirus pandemic & the hotel was only at 50% capacity so their bar & restaurant wasn’t open but the staff was very friendly & the room that we got was perfect overlooking the pool. We were in room 306 in a king size suite. We met up with another family whom our son proposed to their daughter at the Fort. It was a perfect stay. We would stay again in the future. Disappointed Honors Club Member

Jun 29th, 2020

In 50 years of hotel guest experience I've never had to pay for parking on hotel property. Here it is $15 per night, and there are more rooms than parking spots, and the parking lot is tight and small. Also I would have to go back to the early 80's since I had a room without a microwave. Yes, NO microwave, yes mini fridge. I usually stay at Home2 or Homewood Suites. Won't stay at a Double Tree again. There are tons of motels in the area that appear very well kept and upgraded. I stay at Hilton's for the points. The staff was great and tended to our needs professionally. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Experience at the DoubleTree

Jun 18th, 2020

I stayed on June 18th, 2020 for my one night only with my parents and we had an okay experience. We felt we were discriminated for been Hispanic and me for looking Asian. When I checked in the receptionist didn’t make feel welcomed. She didn’t go over the details of the hotel and when checkout time. I am a Hilton Honors Silver member and she didn’t give me a bag of water and didn’t ask if I wanted cookies. Also she told me to put all dirty towels in a plastic bag she handed me. First of all I have stayed in other DoubleTree hotels and I have never been asked to do this. All the hotels I have stayed in besides Hilton hotels I just leave the towels in the bathroom. Also when I went to get coffee the next day the receptionist pour the coffee instead of letting me to it myself. Which I saw other guests pour themselves. So why wasn’t I allowed to do the same? Also we felt pressured to leave. The housekeeper called to see if we were still in the room when it still wasn’t time to check out. Also the room should have had a microwave. Such an inconvenience to go to the main lobby to warm up anything. I am disappointed in this stay. Yesterday June 17, 2020 was my dad’s birthday and wanted him to have a fabulous experience when in truly it wasn’t the best experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
