Overnight stay for concert

Aug 18th, 2019

Hotel is modern, clean and very well maintained. Staff was fast, friendly and helpful with directions or suggestions. Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Bathroom is a little on small side but also excellent condition. Price is reasonable for prime area. As it is a easy 7 minute walk to PPG Paint Arena. Easy 20 minute walk to incline to get to Mount Washington. Great stay and for sure will again. Area is neat and feels safe. My only negative is parking car is easy with valet, but I used app to request car like designed and still.several people got their vehicle before me. I had to ask someone if my car was coming. Then saw them walk over and get it. Took me 19 minutes and they left the hanging sticker in my car. I had to walk that back to them. Still great stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent but Freezing Pool

Aug 17th, 2019

Overall excellent, the room, the service, the food, the location, the shuttle, the staff. We were overall really pleased. Only complaint was that for such a beautiful pool, you can not swim in it because it is so cold! They are discontinuing the shuttle service which was such a great feature. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Decent

Aug 15th, 2019

While the hotel was useful for our purposes, as in mostly just sleeping and not spending much time at all in the room, it still fell short in a few areas. Our shower wasn’t working which we didn’t discover until the first morning, so it delayed our getting ready for the day while maintenance came out to work on it. The room didn’t include a mini-fridge, which I admittedly hadn’t even looked into because I’ve never known a hilton hotel not to supply a fridge. So we couldn’t keep left overs from any of our restaurant excursions in the city. In addition, I called the day before check in to add parking to my reservation and was told that because it was within 48 hours that my reservation couldn’t be edited or cancelled. Therefore I had to pay full price for daily valet parking which would’ve have been discounted had I added it outside the 48 hour window; ridiculous as an “honors” member that is loyal to this hotel chain not to accommodate something like this. Lastly, there was construction going on all hours of the night. I stayed on the 19th of 20 floors and was still woken up each night by jack hammering at 3AM. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Love this Hotel!

Aug 14th, 2019

I think I found a new home in Pittsburgh. I got upgraded to a 2-room suite. What a shame I was only here for a short time. The room was wonderful. Nice working desk to get some productivity in. I wish I didn't need to leave it was like my own apartment with lots of room. The bed was comfortable. Front desk was really friendly and pointed me in the direction ti Market Sq which is within walking distance although they offered to take me in the shuttle which I declined. The breakfast buffet was good. Couldn't really ask for anything more. I'll be back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Seminar

Aug 14th, 2019

Visited this hotel yesterday to attend a seminar. From what I saw pretty nice hotel. Then I made the mistake of going to the front desk to verify that I was in the correct place. I asked the young lady behind the desk (blond hair, very heavy brown eyebrows) to verify I am in the correct place and if so where is the event being held? Well geez - you would have thought I asked her for a kidney. She was sooooo rude. Speaking to me in a condescending tone as though I am a child. I was the only one in line and she did not appear to be busy. If the service at the front desk is like that I hate to see what it's like to be a guest. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
