I’ll pass

Nov 9th, 2020

Well, once again in these times of “virus” there are hotels that go the extra mile and those that don’t. Meaning try to find a way to make it work versus just roll over and shoulder shrug. This property is the later. Room and internet, i should have stayed at a Hampton inn. The room was okay, checkin was okay, checkout was okay. It was quiet due to an almost empty hotel. It is centrally located, so if one is there for more than a night, walking around I would imagine would be good. The lack of services with major brands is appalling. The owners should remember that we he business travelers REMEMBER. I’ll choose another place next time AND call ahead to see at what level there so called “services” are a. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good Location but Other Problems

Oct 6th, 2020

Hotel is a few short blocks from the French Quarter and rooms are spacious and clean, but there are issues you should consider. Website indicates there is no valet parking when you book a room, but they don't tell you that there is no designated hotel parking at all. As we were told by the doorman when we arrived, "After you check in you have to find your own place to park." They did have a map showing some parking lots in the area, but if you are checking in after dark you don't want to start your stay wondering around the streets of NOLA trying to find someplace for your car. Also, if there is a connecting door in the room, you can hear everything going on in the room next door. Hotel staff is wearing masks and there are plexiglass barriers for check-in, but many of the guests are wandering through the lobby and in the elevators without masks. We would not stay here again. Evacuation

Aug 27th, 2020

It was not an ideal reason for a visit but a very comfortable stay during our evacuation due to Hurricane Laura. The staff was most accommodating - very clean and well kept hotel as well as a fantastic location! Staying here again is a must! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Location and Staff

Jul 16th, 2020

We loved our stay at the DoubleTree. It was so convenient. The staff from the front desk, the tour desk lady( who developed laryngitis) to the wonderful Dionte’ at the outside bell desk. I specifically asked him for his name because he was so friendly, helpful, and proud to be an ambassador for his great city. It is always fun to see cities, but much more fulfilling to meet great people. Dionte’ qualifies as a great person. Just doing the little extra means a lot to an anonymous tourist. Thank you DoubleTree for a wonderful stay!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Bright spot in a stressful world

Jul 14th, 2020

Stayed first time here...have visited Nola 6+ times a year, using MSY as my “fly out of” airport....just ready for a change in hotel “families.” Greeted by Destiny and you could see her smile beaming through her mask! She made one feel like one was appreciated to be in that establishment and was very informative to other clients in the lobby. Upon leaving the next am I was greeted by Brianna...another jewel in the DT crown! DON’T LET THESE TWO GET AWAY, HILTON! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
