Best In Grand Junction

Please let me start by saying from the first meeting at the front desk until I checked out this might be one of the cleanest and best staffed hotels I have stayed in. I know we all hate the word "Covid 19" but we have to live with it and please know this hotel gets it like no other hotel. They have stickers on your door and Housekeeping is based in the guest needs. The Gym and Spa have to have a key card from the front desk to get in. I would highly refer this hotel to anyone in the GJ area. Please know it's close to all the great places to eat and Door Dash/Grub Hub have this place covered. In closing just a quick Uber to anywhere in town, Brian your staff is amazing top to bottom. With Every Good Wish, Kevin & Leslie TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Convenient location and nice stay

Originally, we were planning to stay at a different property but due to the wildfires and the pressing need to accommodate masses of firefighters, we gratefully ended up at the Grand Junction Doubletree located right off I-70 . We had a very nice and comfortable stay with no issues. Before the winds switched and the wildfire smoke obscured the view, we had great views of the Book Cliffs from our room. This was definitely a worthwhile stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Average Doubletree in Grand Junction

The guest services were great while we stayed here for 2-nights but unfortunately the hotel is showing its age. They really need to renovate the rooms but that will be tough during the virus crisis due to lost revenue. The hotel is conveniently located right off I-70 if your passing through Grand Junction. The hotel is practicing safe virus standards and the restaurant was primarily closed during our visit but the bar area was open until 10pm and they serve food in there. The food was good in the bar area (ordered their cheeseburger & fries) and the bar service was really good and friendly. Really enjoyed watching a Nuggets game in there while enjoying a beer & burger. The televisions could be upgraded. The hotel offers a pretty good size workout room and outdoor pool and whirlpool (the whirlpool wasn't warm enough during my stay). They have a small business center and saw some meeting rooms. They use to have a nice on-site store but they closed that a few years ago and now only offer a small area with few souvenirs, snacks & beverages including alcohol. The parking is free and the hotel offers discounted rates for AAA, AARP, Senior & military/government rates so I would suggest checking for your dates of arrival to see if you qualify for any of them. Also, if your staying longer than 1-night then you must request maid service because it's not automatic unless requested. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A very nice stay
Aug 11th, 2020
Being 2020, and all that entails, I was very pleased with how well the hotel was handling social distancing and other COVID-related changes necessary. After a minor mix up at check-in (which was quickly resolved), the rest of the stay was wonderful. The desk staff was all friendly and extremely helpful. One nice touch is the ability to communicate any concerns or requests either through the Hilton app or via text message. Due to the need to adjust certain services, housekeeping is now by request and can be scheduled with the front desk, which actually seems more convenient than more "traditional" housekeeping. Hand sanitizer stations were conveniently located throughout the lobby, another nice touch that shows they are taking the pandemic and their guests' health seriously. The room was clean and comfortable, and the mini-fridge and microwave were particularly helpful since dining out can be a bit more challenging this year. Seeing how well they were able to adapt service and offerings during an unprecedented year, I wouldn't hesitate to stay in "normal" times, as their service and offerings were great!
