Overnight Stay during Amelia Island Concours

Stayed in the section with 2 floors...probably the older section of the hotel. It was kind of musty in the halls and convoluted to find the room from the lobby. Room was very satisfactory as beds were comfortable and everything in room worked. Bathroom clean. Would stay again, but would request tower. Surprise parking fee of $5. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel that’s convenient to JAX airport

I chose this hotel based on it’s location- right beside the JAX, Fl airport which was perfect for an early morning flight home. I thought it would be noisy but I did not hear one airplane the entire night. It was quiet- did not even hear other guests. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was free. I like white noise and the A/C fan made for perfect sleeping. The front desk staff was very nice, welcoming and attentive. The restaurant was mediocre hotel food. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wedding party!

We had a wedding close by so we had a block of rooms here. It was so convenient being right next to the airport. It was close to shopping. The restaurant downstairs was super convenient and the room service was exceptional! The front desk staff was very accommodating and we're welcoming. The only downfall we found was the pool was not heated. But that was only a small thing and it otherwise exceptional stay! It made a very special weekend even more special. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Weird policies and not handicap friendly

I recently stayed the Doubletree Jacksonville Airport hotel for work. I am extremely loyal Hilton Honors member but I will never stay in this hotel again. When I first arrived, I drove around and around the parking lot to find an available handicap spot. They only have 2 close to a door around the side of the building-no where near the entrance or elevators for the main building. I finally parked as close as I could and arrived to find out my feather-free room had feather pillows in it. Not being a brat about pillow types, I am actually allergic. I had to wait to unpack because the bathroom was dirty and someone had to come clean it. I will give them props-they did this immediately and fixed the problem. Only now, I had a suite that reeked of the scent of bleach. The only other trouble came when I ordered food. The first night my Door Dash driver delivered right to my room. The 2nd two nights I was told that they only allow their restaurant to deliver to rooms because of a vague “security reason”. I had called down to let them know I had ordered food and was told the same thing. I explained I was handicapped and would appreciate it if someone could bring my food to me. End of the day is always worse and am usually in quite a bit of pain by this point. Well the 2nd night they forced me to come down and get my food. I asked to speak with a manager about it explaining my situation and if they could make an exception. They said no and did not get a manager. The final night, I asked if someone from the front desk could bring it up to me-again explaining I am handicapped. I got cut off before I could finish. They did allow my delivery to come up but I shouldn’t have to explain my personal struggles just to get food delivered. Poor customer service. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
