Thanks giving

This hotel is fantastic. On arrival it has the wow factor and staff are very plesant. The rooms..... are yes small but ask yourself how much time you spend in there when visiting NYC. The room is very modern and clean. The bed we had was soft and massive. Mini bar was expensive so disnt touch it. The location of hotel is perfect 10 mins from time square and central park. Mcdonalds and starbucks 2 mins away. Only moan we had was...... your usual ones RESORT FEE no one informs or lets you no what its for. Just a letter on arrival with key cards would be great. Also being a hotel guest paying over 250$ per night i would expect discount in PHD or restaurant. PHD is most expensive bar i have drank in all over the world. $36 dollars for 2 small cocktails in a hotel i paid a resort fee for and paid to stay there. We had one and left as there is value in drinking off site. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The hotel is fine, but skip the bar

Dec 3rd, 2019

The hotel itself is fine. The rooms are smaller but adequate. If you are traveling with a companion (for the first time), i hope you are comfortable because the bathrooms are right there, lol. No room for much privacy. The location is excellent. Close to a lot of cool places. BUT.. skip the rooftop bar, just skip it. Its one of those bars where the staff is so snotty it was unreal. The blonde attendant collecting tickets or stamping people (whatever she does) was plain obnoxious. There should be a separate line for hotel guests, especially those of us that come down with no jacket and get asked to stand outside in the line. Just craziness. AND.. when you get up there prepare to pay $ for those drinks. We paid $38 for 2 drinks which maybe would have been fine if not for the bartender's attitude. There was just no winning here, bad all around. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Business casual

Dec 1st, 2019

Dream Midtown is summed up best as “business casual”. Location-wise it is nice for those here for work (there are many major offices in the area), it’s also a great place to have a few drinks (or 20) with coworkers after a long day. Just beware of the high floors. On the weekend, the bar goes late and boy does that bass travel. Other than that, the hotel is wonderful. Very cool staff. Gus, Winard, Nadia, Adrian and Jack were all quite friendly and totally not disgruntled (that may seem like faint praise to the uninitiated, but for an NYC service establishment, it’s a Herculean achievement, trust me). The manager Donaldo was super cool and helped me switch to a lower floor during the aforementioned incident with the bar noise. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A fantastic visit

Nov 30th, 2019

My wife and I have made our annual trip to the city and have to say, “The Dream” is an understatement. after schlepping through the crowded streets of New York all day, we were kindly greeted by Adrian as he fearlessly led us into the loving arms of the hotel. Adrian put all else aside to make an unparalleled first impression and set us on the path of an everlasting experience at The Dream. Gustavo and Winard were also a huge help, only adding to the high bar Adrian had set. If I had the choice, I’d take my Aunt out of the nursing home and send her straight to The Dream for I know she’d get the attention and profound care she needs, courtesy of Adrian and staff. Needless to say, my wife and I will be back very soon. Five star service from curb to checkout!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Bang for my buck

Nov 30th, 2019

Came back with the missus. Always have a good experience here. My man Adrian the bellboy remembered me by name! Had a lot of fun checking out the Fishbowl bar downstairs (not to be negative, but why is it only open on Fridays and Saturdays??). Other reviews mention the elevators being slow. Yeah, yeah. Whatever. The service here more than makes up for it. Also, the location is totally dope. The desk agents Nadea and Gustavo were really cool. The overnight guy Winard is hilarious.
