This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, came down on a business trip and didn’t wanna leave the staff took care of me and treated me like family ,complimentary breakfast and dinner. And the room was A+ very clean and modern I would definitely recommend to friends and family. I don’t have anything negative to say. Close to highway and plenty of fast food options in the neighborhood. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Horrendous Treatment from General Manger Catherine [--]

I booked a one night stay at the hotel Drury Inn Suites 6920 Northlake Mall Drive located in Charlotte NC on July 22-July23rd 2020. This hotel is listed as a 4.6 star hotel but the experience I had and the defamation treatment that I received from Catherine [--]the General Manger was baffling and most importantly humiliating. The room that I booked had a jacuzzi in it , that was literally falling apart as I attempted to start a bath. The drain stopper had broken into two pieces and the deep water bathtub over flow cover was also broken off. I reached out to the front desk immediately who told me that maintenance wasn’t available to come fix the tub due to COVID-19. Additionally the manger wasn’t on duty until the morning. Therefore she told me she’d leave a note for the manger about my inconvenience. I was not offered to be moved to another room for the night due to the jacuzzi being broke. As the water drained from the hot tub I noticed the carpet was completely drenched in water. The border of the wall and carpet had visibly growing mold underneath the carpet and on the padding. Additionally the ceiling had water damage from the room above us, which concludes that they have had prior problems with leakage from the jacuzzi before my incident. I reported to the manger Catherine [--]the following morning and was told that I would only be given a refund for my night stay and that is it. I requested a free night stay to make up for our experience and Catherine insist that we stay at a another hotel that isn’t associated with Drury Inn Suites due to another room likely to have the same problems. I then requested Cooperates contact information requesting at least one free night stay due to no manger being on duty and having to sleep in the room with a broken jacuzzi, drenched carpet, and mold the for night. I also inquired a extension for a late checkout , free of charge due to having to make phone calls to corporate. After getting serval different numbers from Catherine [--]that were not Corporates telephone number, I finally reached Corporate customer service Manger Stacey Collins. She implied that they could only give a refund and couldn’t make up for our problematic experience by giving us a free night stay at the same hotel but a different location. As time goes by it is 2:15pm and I had just been in contact with Catherine about my conversation with Stacey the corporate manger about checking out shortly. Around 2:30pm I receive a knock on my door from the police stating that we are trespassing due to the manger, Catherine [--]stating that “I told her I refused to leave the room”. Which was a completely falsifying statement. She was aware I was contacting corporate and never mentioned it was a problem for me to check out after I talked to corporate as I requested. As we gathered our things and headed down stairs I expressed to the officer that we did not conduct a criminal act by trespassing. I explained how humiliating and mortified I was to be escorted by police due to Catherine [--]mendaciously accusing us of refusing to leave the property. As we approached the front desk I requested for a recipe from the one night stay which was to be refunded to my card in full. Catherine [--]states she is unable to give me any paper work on my hotel stay at all. The police officer even asserts that he cannot make her give me a receipt. Catherine [--]doesn’t apologize for their unpleasant , horrendous room we received but instead smirks at me saying that I am now banned and need to leave because I am trespassing. I cannot describe to you the mortification, frustration, and victimization we experienced from Catherine. Catherine was completely deceitful, she fabricated to the police with false statements and treated us as if our money wasn’t needed nor appreciated. I will do everything in my will to reach out to Charles L. Drury, Jr. CEO of Drury Inn Suites about my horrific experience. This is unacceptable and beyond belief that the General Manger would treat a customer like this. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
incorrect advertising, moldy jacuzzi jets and horrible breakfast

hotel was advertised that the pool was open by reservation (due to virus) but this was not correct. I got a jacuzzi room because of this. the breakfast had very few options and was disgusting. Definitely paid too much for this experience TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I stayed here for 1 night during my trip from Florida to Ohio. Requested a king room on an upper floor. They substituted for a king suite which was good. First room toilet would not flush so requested a different room. That was not a problem and was handled quickly. Second room was not quite as clean, and had some trash on the floor near the bed - a couple of candy bar wrappers. The bigger complaint was that the door did not lock. Since it was a suite,I had extra furniture to slide in front of the door overnight. For $99, I'm sure there are better hotels near here. Will scratch this one off of my list. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
