A perfect and memorable visit for our anniversary

May 23rd, 2019

Dukes Hotel was recommended by my husband’s colleague, who lives in London. For a very special anniversary, we were looking for a small British hotel like I remembered growing up. We had a magical eight nights stay. This beautiful and tranquil hotel is very well situated, around the corner from Spencer House, and not far from St. James’ Palace, the National Gallery and Fortnum and Mason, to name only a few. The hotel and restaurant staff are exceptionally professional and very gracious. The very experienced hotel concierge, Ian Haigh, gave us a number of wonderful restaurant suggestions and made train reservations for us to visit Canterbury. The lovely GBR restaurant serves delicious breakfasts with a wide choice of options; we also enjoyed our dinner there the first night. The well-known bar is a “must-do” for one of their special martinis or a glass of champagne; it is important to make a reservation even for the late afternoon as it is very popular with local Londoners and hotel guests alike. We plan to have tea in the Drawing Room on our next visit. We could not recommend Dukes Hotel more highly. We had such a great time that we have booked another stay later in the year. Simply fabulous

May 19th, 2019

I stayed 3 nights at Dukes & it was utter perfection. Location is fantastic, within walking distance of main attractions & shopping. There were nice little touches in the room, from the mobile phone for guests' usage to the free-flowing Penhaligon toiletries. The biggest plus was the service staff, who accommodated our special requests. Special credit goes to Michael at reception desk, who was always there to greet our return with a smile. This will be my new base in London! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quaint and Tucked Away

May 17th, 2019

My wife and I started our honeymoon here. The hotels is very clean and accommodating. The room we had was a little tight considering what you pay for but worth it because of the location to where we wanted to be. The restaurant is also very nice. We had breakfast there each morning, which was excellent, and dinner at the bar on late evening which was superb. Excellent staff there. We had two issues that came up: blood stains on our bed sheets in two separate occasions. We knew it wasn’t from either of us because they had changed the sheets while we were touring the city and came back to it. They did remedy it right away. The other issue was that we observed two employees in the front desk area having a obvious disagreement while guests were in the lobby; a little uncomfortable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Afternoon Tea

May 16th, 2019

We really enjoyed our Afternoon tea time here. The service is nice and take care of you. The food was good and we had preferences for the sandwiches and scones! You can ask one for a sandwich and scones refill! yummy. The room was light and we felt like home. Would recommend and definitely go back TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Another visit at Duke's, another fantastic experience. This time the hotel turned out to be a perfect place to stay during my business trip in London. They keep great balance between price and quality. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
