Great Location...Fantastic Hotel

Dec 4th, 2019

Centrally located, The Dylan Hotel is a very convenient spot. This was my second visit to The Dylan and I was so happy to return. The entire staff is exceptional from the front desk to housekeeping. Always available and extremely helpful. They make you feel very welcome at check-in and do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. The room was large, extremely well kept and astonishingly clean. In the room, there is a welcome letter from the manager explaining the history of the hotel and his willingness to assist in any way to make your stay comfortable. A very nice touch to make sure the guests have what they need to have a successful visit. The hotel is close to an abundance of restaurants, museums, transportation and shopping galore. Basically, everything that you might need or want is at your finger tips. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fab location

Dec 1st, 2019

Stayed here for a week, first impressions weren’t great, the person who checked us in seemed preoccupied and gave us a room, which when we turned up there were workman carrying out refurbishments. We were then offered a smaller room than what we had booked, we were kindly shown the room but decided to take a bigger room (which was already ready so not sure why we were shown the small one). The heating in the room was good, perfect for the cold November days, great walking distance to all the major attractions and a nespresso coffee machine in the room too! Alex in particular was great, he made our stay more special and after finding out we had got engaged he provided us with a Bottle of wine and is a really asset to Dylan Hotel! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Functional comfort with excellent rail access

Dec 1st, 2019

We stayed here only for one night and so did not explore all the facilities. The welcome and service were excellent, and all the staff very helpful. This hotel is a good choice for a fair value stay in mid-town Manhattan. It is a five minute walk from Grand Central terminus, yet without any of the unpleasant features sometimes associated with the area near large urban rail stations. It is close to 5th Avenue and an attractive small park in which a concert was scheduled for the evening. We were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves on a VIP floor. The room did not have a view but was spacious and comfortable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good location

Nov 30th, 2019

Great location close to Grand Central Station. Airport buses also pick up just a couple of blocks away. Good size room and I think if you’re lucky enough to have a room that has been renovated then this hotel would be great. Unfortunately our room was very tired-curtains didn’t close properly so let a lot of light in, carpet and some furniture needed replacing. Also we had an adjoining room so very noisy when our neighbours returned at 1am each night! Probably best to check out the type of room allocated before your trip. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Brilliant location

Nov 26th, 2019

We had heard most NYC hotel rooms were tiny but we were pleasantly surprised when we checked into our room. Plenty of room for our large suitcases, Nespresso machine (no milk frother) and wardrobe. Front desk staff were great, very friendly. The hotel is also about to undergo renovations as it’s a fairly old building (1911) so some furnishings are tired but doesn’t stop functionality. Grand central station literally a 5 min walk away, Times Square about 15min, Bryant Park 10 min. Great place to base yourself while exploring New York! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
