Waste of time and money!

Nov 10th, 2020

First off it is not handicapp accessible! The parking is so tight for any vehicle bigger than a small SUV. We first pulled up and the woman at the front window wa rude. Not only did I have to give my DL, but so did my partner! The room on my receipt was different from the room keys. The room was clean BUT extremely out of date. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were horrible! They didnt have any form to them and we had 5 for 2 beds. The air conditioner hadnt been cleaned in forever and the entire family woke up with stuffed up noses. There wasnt any breakfast and the tub couldnt be used. Covering up a water soaked door with paint doesny cover up the mold! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Chemical Fumes

Oct 4th, 2020

This hotel was decent. Because of covid you check in outside at their night window. The first thing I noticed when going inside is a strong chemical smell, I'm assuming they are doing some extra cleaning now. I am glad for the cleaning but it pretty much gave me a headache with the strong fumes from whatever cleaning agents they're using. The room itself was fine. The tv remote didn't work but the friendly guy at the front desk donned a mask and brought a spare over. I must have just gotten lucky but there were constantly people talking (and yelling) outside and coming and going all through the night, which kept me up. The location is decent, it's just a quick drive to a bunch of restaurants and through the tunnel to the downtown. Also it's only a few miles from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. If you do stay here it will just make you even more impressed by the guest rooms inside the Biltmore Estate by comparison. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Rude and Exploitive

Aug 4th, 2020

My college-age son reserved a room here. When he arrived, the clerk turned him away because he's not yet 21. But they refused to return his $75 deposit. NOWHERE on their website does it say you must be 21 to book a room! They told him he could get a refund by going through a laborious process online, but failed to tell him he only had 24 hours to do so. The desk clerk was aggressively unpleasant and the manager Pat was dismissive and unhelpful, making a mockery of the so-called "hospitality" industry. Is this how you treat our nation's young military personnel and students? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

NEVER BOOK THERE FOR MANY REASONS LISTED BELOW

Feb 11th, 2020

This hotel had 5 police cards when I showed up. There are many people drinking and smoking outside the rooms. There is not extra lock on the door, it had been ripped out. My daughter had bites on her and they still would not give us another room. The breakfast is very poor. My A/C did not work and the manager did not even address it the first day. I had to complain to have it addressed I even told Choice to take them off their list of qualified hotels. I almost slept in my car because I felt unsafe, no extra lock, and window opened with only a screen. Could not use heavy curtain or I would no get a breeze. There is a Comfort Inn less than a mile, so I suggest that. I might still have the photos to add to the post if Tripadvisor allows it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
