Great value!!! Awesome stay!

One of the best Econo Lodge Inn we have stayed in!!! When we come to this area again, we will definitely stay here again!! Despite checking in after midnight, we were promptly greeted by the friendly staff. The check in quick, however, the lady at the front desk spent the time to tell us where our room was, the best place to park, the numerous amenities (more on that later), and the free breakfast. When we entered the room, we were really pleasantly surprised. The room seemed recently renovated. had laminate hardwood floors. The bed was firm and seemed new and there were many pillows. The bathroom was clean and had a glass shower doors. There was a flat screen TV, microwave, iron, and refridgerator. There was a large variety of food at breakfast (more than we expected). The food continued to get replenished. After returning from a day of skiing, we used the other amenities. The sauna was nice. The indoor pool area was large with nice warm water. There was a whirlpool next too the pool which was nice and hot. If staying in this area, we highly recommend staying here! Its a great place to stay and outstanding value!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice Place but...

Mar 4th, 2020

We took the kids up north to see the sights. The weather was cold with light mixed precipitation forecast and actually experienced. Upon return from dinner I exited my vehicle and immediately slipped on the ice that had accumulated on the parking lot. I injured my leg on the door, my knee and hip hit the parking lot, and my head hit the car on the way down. After getting to my feet I immediately went to the office to report the incident. The clerk on duty only agreed with me that is was "slippery out there". He did not seek information normally required to create an incident report even if there were no injuries. He dismissed me and acknowledged he would have to apply ice melt to the parking area. Upon return to my room a located the corporate number to Choice Hotels to report the incident. I was not contacted my the manager of this location as to the incident or to inquire about my injuries. I called him twice leaving messages both times. He did eventually return my call after 5 days. He did not offer to make up for our inconvenience due to their negligence. I expressed my displeasure with the way both he and his staff handled the situation. I insisted that the least he could do was refund our room charges for the night. He initially refused, then agreed to refund 50%. I appreciated he was making an effort and told him so. I pressed him further and eventually got him to give us a full refund. When you run a business you should be able to provide an acceptable level of safety for your guests. When this business is in New England in the winter, that must include proper sanding to deal with dangerous ice accumulation. The facility is pleasant and in nice condition. Management and staff come up quite short of acceptable. The manager told me I was being unreasonable to expect the parking lot to be sanded and safe after dark. He also requested we stay elsewhere in the future. That wont be a problem for us. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Was OK. Accessible room not ADA compliant.

Basic room, but not the cleanest. I am usually not picky with a room having to be perfect, but this room needed some cleaning. The blanket on top of the bed had stains, the headboard had some smudges, there was what looked like dried tomato sauce on the phone cord, the curtains were stained. This room was also supposed to be accessible. There are issues with accessibility. The bed is too high, it was 29 inches high, it should be between 17 and 23 inches high, the shower chair poses a safety issue, there is no back on it which could cause someone to fall if they transferred onto it from a wheelchair. Both doors are not accessible, the outside door actually has a step, also the accessible entrance at the front of the hotel has a one inch threshold, thresholds can only be 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch if it is beveled. The breakfast was very basic. Cooked items, eggs or sausage were cold and had to be microwaved. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Better than I expected

Feb 22nd, 2020

We liked that our room had two doors, sort of a motel/hotel setup. One opened to the parking lot like a motel so it was easy to load/unload the car and the other opened to a hallway so we could walk to the pool or breakfast without going outside. The location is convenient. It's right off the highway and about 10 minutes from Ice Castles and Loon Mountain. The pool and hot tub are nice and weren't too crowded. Breakfast was nothing fancy but fine and included in the price of the room. The staff was polite and helpful. I accidentally left a jacket in my room and didn't realize until we were home from our trip. I called and they mailed it back to me the same day. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a basic but clean and comfortable place to stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent vacation with joining rooms. My dad visited from Wisconsin and wanted to see the ice castles. I always stay at the econo lodge when heading to Lincoln NH. They are friendly and always willing to help. Room, continental breakfast, sauna, and pool all great. Looking goward to my next trip there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
