Traveling and not spending much time in the room. Very economical for a nights stay. Breakfast included cereal bar pancakes muffins juices coffee. Got the room for 67.00 and very happy with the condition of the room. 2 double beds clean and spacious. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First and last visit here

Apr 8th, 2019

This property is very dated, clean enough but really in very sad shape. Breakfast was adequate but the breakfast room is very small. The central heating made the room unbearably hot to sleep in and the a/c was loud. It made for a sleepless visit. Time to shut the lights off and close the doors for the last time..... "Friendly staff, comfortable room, 5th trip"

Jan 14th, 2019

Decided to have a date night in Calgary, so reserving a room at this motel was an easy decision. This is my 5th time staying at Econo Lodge Motel Village and as always the staff was prompt, friendly and helpful. Especially since the room keys we were initially given did not work and had to be exchanged. The front desk person walked down the hallway to ensure that they keys would work and then called a little later to make sure we were happy with our room. This is not a fancy or expensive place, which I really appreciate. I just want a comfortable and secure place for me and my belongings when I'm in Calgary. I had room 112 again, which is a standard Queen room with a little kitchenette (fridge, sink, 2-burner hob & microwave), handy when you want to cook your own food. The place was cleaned pretty well except for someone else's shaving stubble in the bathtub. The front desk staff was apologetic and made a note to clean the bathroom better. I will happily stay here again when I need an affordable place in Calgary close to events and shopping. One bit of concern, which I glad I emailed ahead was the amount of the security deposit taken, which has gone up to $200/stay. Needless to say I hate that I have to budget even more for a trip when I travel and that this information should be put clearly on hotel/motel websites for people to plan for. Just like cleaning fees listed on AirBnB listings. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Don't bother!

Oct 12th, 2018

Don't bother with this dump! This building is five years overdue for the bulldozer. The desk staff is totally incompetent. It is noisy. The temperature in the rooms is way too hot and cannot be controlled. We have the air conditioning going to handle both of those issues, and this is October. I will never stay here ever again! I would give a lower score if I could. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
