Holiday with kids

Jul 19th, 2019

We rented a large apartment which is very spacious. Service is good, cleaning the house every day. From the front door to the pool was 10 meters; to the bar 12 meters and to the beach 20 meters. The sea in front of the hotel is already great for snorkeling. Take a short trip to e.g Klein Bonaire and you are at a super snorkeling place. It is at walking distance from Kralendijk and a supermarket (30 minutes), but having a car for a couple of days is a good idea. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very disappointed

Jul 2nd, 2019

We came to Eden beach for a week long scuba diving trip. The room was nice enough. The restaurant was absolutely terrible, the food was over cooked and poorly prepared and extremely overpriced. Many of the employees live on the property and their children run around knocking on our door and running off. So our experience was not satisfactory. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

New renovations are complete

Jun 6th, 2019

Short visit this time - for my Birthday celebration, the entire staff knew about it and it was great fun to be "special" to the crew for the weekend. They gave me a room right off of the beach which was quiet but not hidden and all of the improvements worked to our satisfaction too. Good food and breakfasts which you could eat from the buffet or order whatever you want - staff was there but not in the way TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice from the get go

May 26th, 2019

Arrived on 5/19 and the staff was very welcoming and courteous. The resort is on a makeshift beach across from Klein Bonaire. Chairs and cabanas are provided for guests and it was really nice to relax on the beach after a day of exploring Bonaire. Eden beach is within walking distance from downtown Kralendijk(2km or 1.1 mi) and is a rather easy walk which you can do along the waterfront if you want. The other plus is that there are many restaurants located within walking distance. Snorkeling was outstanding as there were many, many fish and some beautiful parrot fish. Caribe watersports and Wannadive are also on site so activities are readily available. Our room was great and a little tip for anyone not on 220v. European outlets are standard(2 round hole, 2 flat) we purchased step down power bank 2 years ago from Ebay for about 16.00USD. If you are going to plug directly into the outlet, be sure your appliances and electronics are rated 110/220v. This was a wonderful resort at a good price which was part of my package from Orbitz. Snorkelling at resort is great!

Apr 28th, 2019

We had a room with a kitchen and balcony on the third floor (no elevator, but the woman checking us in helped carry our bags). The king bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean. The staff even washed our dishes. Coffee maker had filters but were the cone rather than basket style. Bring your own coffee. Air conditioning was consistent and very quiet. Balcony had a table, 2 chairs and two reclining lounges. We could see the ocean and beach. On Friday night the party at the next beach was quite loud when we were on the balcony, but when inside we could hardly hear it. We ate several dinners at Spice restaurant on site. The pasta and sea food was very good. I had some tapas dishes one night that were also good. On Easter Sunday the breakfast buffet was excellent, with a good variety of fruit, bread and other dishes, even chocolate bunnies! They offer made-to -order egg dishes. Mine was very tasty. The servers were very friendly. Lunches are available at the beach bar. The water at the dock was very calm. We spent hours snorkelling from the dock and saw many of the fish (by the hundreds) within a few hundred metres of the dock. The reef is minimal, but take an easy 30 minutes to snorkel to Bari Reef between Sand dollar and Buddy Dive to experience a small but amazing reef that has more species. The Caribe water taxi operates out of the resort, which was very convenient for travel to Klein Bonaire. Make sure you get to know Gigi at the Caribe shop! We enjoyed the shore birds. Mockingbirds and bananaquits entertained us on the balcony. We saw iguanas and lizards, doves and parakeets often. I will return and definitely stay at Eden Beach! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
