Bad Service and ok food

Dec 23rd, 2019

It took almost 30 minutes for the service to take our drink order and another 20 to bring them. The food another history. Over an hour!!!!! The salmon carpaccio was disgusting! The cheese plate with no bread. Even worst there were no silverware. They brought the food and we didn't have silverware. It took another 10 minutes. The show is worth. Just pay the 40 pesos to see the show and avoid this tourist trap if a restaurant like the plague! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nightmare stay.

Jul 23rd, 2019

When I checked in to the Hotel. They said I had not paid for a room I had already previously had reserved and paid for. I was charged again because their system. After re checking my confirmation I went back to inform them I had already paid for it when reserving. At check in no one helped my family to our room. They had someone direct me to the parking lot on top of the hill with a horrible entrance. Brunch service was terrible. The waiters basically ignored us. 2nd after a long day out. I came in to the AC leaking all over the bed. Called the front desk they said they could call maintenance and change me a room on the last floor (by the way there is no elevator) After deciding to change rooms because the floor was covered in water and the mattress soaking wet. I had to walk up 4 flights of stairs with a sleeping toddler at 10:30PM and luggage. When I get to the room my surprise and a family of geckos are the only inhabitants of this room since who knows when. The TV doesnt work and they dont answer calls from the last room. I had to walk down stairs from the last room all the way to the lobby. After telling them the room has critters in it and its HOT. I get scolded for changing rooms. in the first place. They tell me its the last time they will change my room. I get no apology for the inconvenience. The last room I ended up in had a stench of throw up. The door looked like someone had tried to break into. The bathrooms look like they have not been cleaned in years. This is the worst service. It's a shame that this hotel has not been kept up with. El Mirador has an amazing view and attracts lots of people to come see the cliff divers. Its definitely a must see place. The hotel itself is not worth staying at. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A good hotel for the money

Jul 5th, 2019

It is a clean hotel. The service was good. The views spectacular. It only takes 10 min. to get to the Golden Zone of the main beach avenue. Check out sea-water pool. For the money, a great place to stay. It is a hotel that is 80 years old. There were a few details about the room, but nothing that was worth making the stay bad. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The cliff divers

Apr 4th, 2019

As part of our coach excursion we went to this hotel to see the famous cliff divers. Before we entered we saw the divers limbering up on a trampoline, they were so young! We were given complimentary drinks, then shown to one of the many viewing terraces. We watched the divers scrambling up the rocks (some as high as 40m) There is a small shrine where they kneel and pray before their dives. They wait until the tide is right before plunging very gracefully into the water. Afterwards you can have your photograph taken with the divers if you wish. In the hotel there are some interesting memorabilia eg photos and signatures of stars long ago. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Acapulco Cliff Divers

10 10 10 10 10 All great dives. Absolutely beautiful & scary at the same time. Friendly staff. The view into the ocean is priceless. We went during the off-season and felt as if they were diving just for us. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
