Big Disappointment!

Jul 1st, 2020

Had a 3 day stay at the end of June ,wildflower season in CB. We booked on the internet for a special Colorado Rate which excluded the $20/day parking fee and ~$20/day resort fee. On checkout we were charged for both ! Desk agent said there was no such special ( not on website anymore) . Considering that their COVID policy has zero in room services for the entire stay, restaurant not open, poor amenities in the room ....what is the benefit you get for a resort charge ....none. Lots of other great places to stay in CB besides Elevation, which we have stayed 3 times in the past both Summer and for skiing. The whole “Resort Fee” concept is a rip-off , especially during COVID , just increase the daily rate, at least that is honest. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place, incredible, friendly staff!

After reading some of the other reviews on this site, I'm impressed at how catty people can be. COVID affected this hotel like it did any other business in the state. Menus and serving policies were changed for safety. I understood that I couldn't order room service, big deal. I did get to see gorgeous views, they let me and a few friends lock up the hot tub ourselves after closing, I wasn't gouged for on site purchases, and complimentary drinks were a thing. I probably talked with every staff member during my stay. I also had part of my stay and a day at the spa comped because of an unfriendly interaction with a contractor working at the hotel (not a hotel employee). Two different managers called me to make sure that I was alright and one took me aside and we just chatted for an hour on the patio. Bronwyn, the bar manager, is a wonderful lady from Dallas that welcomed me and greeted me every time I saw her. I watched her train new barstaff and this place will be just fine after covid. My room looks great, BTW. Marble counteracts, soft bed, and scalding hot water. This is a ski lodge, and a nice one, with better amenitiesthan anything on the mountain. If you want the Brown Palace, go to Denver. But don't complain that you didn't get it here. This place is worth the drive from Boulder, and as a transwoman, I felt very welcomed. Happy pride! This isn’t the place

I would be very hesitant to stay here. We were booked for March 15-17, 2020 and the Governor of Colorado shut down all gatherings, ski resorts closed, the Spa closed, most restaurants were shut down and the resort refused to refund or rebook us. They blamed it on the third party booking but when we got in touch with Chase Travel, they confirms it was the resort that refused to waive its cancellation policy despite the COVID-19 Pandemic. Please book with someone who would show some compassion and offer at least a rebooking. It’s a hard time for all of us. Major hotels should care about their patrons. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Don't waste your time.

What a disappointment. Such potential in this property. The location is excellent, but a ski resort that makes you order your own food online? you cant' order room service by phone, and when you go down to their restaurant the instructions to order your own meal through their website are displayed on the table. Tacky, and down right inconvenient. I will not be staying here again, and would not recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Don’t stay here

Blood smears on the bathroom wall, ripped pillow cases, torn and pilled blankets, rude front desk, gross deck... We are in town for a ski competition and it was canceled due to the Coronavirus. This hotel offers no refunds or credits for a future stay. We checked in early and I was told if I upgraded to a nicer more expensive room I could get in a room quicker. We are already paying $220/night. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
