Good Choice for the Money

Jul 13th, 2020

We chose this hotel because it is close to what we want to do, which was eat and drink. We visited south Florida during the Corona craziness so our expectations for our trip were low. We just wanted a change of scenery, knowing there was not going to be a lot to do. There were not a lot of people at the hotel, which was nice and it made for a quiet weekend... again... Corona. We did the digital key check in so we had no interaction with the staff, except to grab one key card. Our room was immaculate... every corner and cranny was clean... even the a/c vents which are typically ignored in hotels. We still wiped all surfaces down with our clorox wipes, just to be safe. The hotel enforced the mask policy anywhere outside the room. There was no happy hour or made to order breakfast for obvious reasons....the Rona. But they did have a grab n go type breakfast with prewrapped jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches, cereal, fruit, etc. It is convenient to the beach and downtown Ft. Lauderdale. there is a shopping center next door with a Publix and Total Wine and CVS. My only complaint, which is a Corporate HIlton issue... is that it's 2020... Hilton, it's time to upgrade your tv's to HD and larger than a 32 inch. There was not even an HDMI outlet, which means these TV's are early 2000 models. This was a good choice for what we needed, which was just to escape our area code for a weekend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Room, Clean Hotel and Kind Staff

Jul 4th, 2020

Bummer that the Covid virus had so few folks staying at the hotel. Lovely for us, however, as we had fabulous service and the place nearly to ourselves. It felt like they were working overtime to keep everything clean and sanitized. Breakfast was not the typical spread, but these are not typical times. We appreciated their efforts to provide a breakfast that was not their typical buffet-style. Really nice staff who were going the extra mile to have their hotel feel like our home. Great job, all! Great location, happy hour, breakfast, & nice large rooms.

Apr 2nd, 2020

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 night prior to our cruise. The hotel is very nice with an excellent location to the beaches, & restaurants. Our room was clean, and large. The bed was very comfortable. The WiFi worked great. The breakfast was very good, and the happy hour was nice with lots of selections of spirits, and snack food. We would stay here again on our next visit to Fort Lauderdale. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed for 2 Days before a cruise

Mar 18th, 2020

We stayed here before our cruises in February (which we managed to complete before the cruise industry shut down. We had stayed here in 2012 and 2013 again before cruises but we then felt that the place was needing some attention badly. Having read recent reviews we decided to give it another try and we were plessantly susprised. We had asked for an early check in online as we were transferring from the DoubleTree at Sawgrass but we were advised the day before that they couldn't accomodate us. I then checked in on line for a room on the 12th floor with a view if the port. When we arrived we were tols our room was available. To my surprise we were given a room facing the port on floor 11. Despite planning to eat out both evenings, the Cocktail period got the better of us and we ended up eating in the hotel each evening. The food was fine and the evening cocktail period seemed to have extended to at least 2 to 2.5 hours. A pleasant change was the ability to pay a discounted price for certain better spirits which we took advantage of each evening. We never really enjoyed the well spirits that they used to serve so it was good to have the option to buy at at reduced cost. If the cruise industry gets back to operating as normal we will return. Stay Well Enjoyed

Mar 17th, 2020

At checkin, Jessica was very friendly and amazing. She made me and my friends feel very welcomed. A checkin can really make or break the start of your stay and this checkin absolutely made it. So I would like to give Jessica a big shoutout for that. During the stay, the pool was great to enjoy, it was really nice. Also, our double bed suite room was spacious enough to fit all of us which was great. There are also many restaurants and shops to enjoy within walking distance and/or short drive from the hotel. I would recommend this property. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
