If I could give this hotel negative stars that is 100% what I would do. When you call the hotel the automated recording states the property is newly renovated. It is NOT renovated at all. When you drive into the property the grounds are a mess. Checked into the hotel and the entire bar & restaurant are still closed except for limited take out food menu only. Checked into the room and when flushing the toilet a high pitched sound wide a few minutes. The headboards to both beds were all scratched and tore up. Spoke with the front desk to switch rooms. Get moved to a different room and it’s even worse. The beds are worse and this time there are stains all over the chairs, ottoman, couch, and rugs . The beds are even worse than the last room. The girl at the front states ALL the rooms have beds that look like that and eventually the hotel will be updated and renovated. They need the Hilton brand name Revoked. Do not stay here. Pay the same money elsewhere at a cleaner hotel !!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great Breakfast ; Convenient for Cruising
Jul 21st, 2020
Embassy Suites always delivers on the breakfast. This hotel was no different. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The cruise terminal is an easy drive away. The staff was friendly and helpful and the gym was more than sufficient for a quick workout upon arrival. I've stayed here on two different trips and will stay again the next time I cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Florida may be reopened, but this hotel is not
Jun 14th, 2020
The hotel itself is ok, but with all food and beverage service still suspended this hotel is particularly depressing compared to others that have more fully reopened. The included "breakfast" was a togo bag with an apple and yogurt. I don't know if its the case, but it certainly felt like they were using covid as a convenient excuse to cut costs, even when others have resumed service. I'll be giving it a pass and staying elsewhere at least untill they more fully reopen. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Friendly, but Basic
Apr 21st, 2020
Being in FL during COVID-19 means lots of time in the hotel room. This hotel has large rooms with a balcony, so plenty of space to hang. Because of low occupancy, they're only booking floors 1-4, so no great views. There was also no room service or breakfast or dinner to-go options like other hotels offer. The front staff is very friendly and accommodating. The property is run down, but the bed, pillows, and shower pressure are top notch. Tip: Ask for room that doesn't face 95 - lots of traffic and train noise when the patio is open. It's not that bad when closed, but noticable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice happy hour but the hotel is tired
Mar 17th, 2020
First of all the good things: The reception staff was very welcoming and as they had rooms available they let us check in early for a minimal fee. There is a nice happy hour in the early evenings- free beer and wine plus lots of snacks. Dinner was also good but very slow in arriving. Breakfast is plentiful and good. The chef made great omelettes to order. Not so good: The rooms are dated, the dark brown carpets are coming up in places, the headboard was torn and everything feels dark and dreary. There are no bellboys to help you with your bags. Most problematic is the location: there is nothing withing walking distance. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
