I was dedicated to Hiltons until the Embassy Suites Cincinnati Rivercenter.

I travel often due to work & we always use Hilton religiously. They have always been accommodating, clean, & priced well without giving up luxury. Naturally when a pleasure travel came up, I convinced my family to go with Hilton. First we arrived at 7:00pm. After realizing due to the COVID the parking was all messed up we decided to check in first then figure it out. We waited in line to check in until 7:32pm, which wasn’t a big deal until my mother in law asked about evening reception & was told it ended at “7:30pm” even though the ladies in front of us were handed tickets with no issue. She also could not recommend anywhere to get food for my nine year old. Disgusted we gathered our things & figures out where our room was & the parking. Knowing in the past how accommodating Hilton is, I went back down to the desk & told the lady i was rather upset with her approach to the evening reception because as she knew we were in line well before 7:30. She wasn’t pleased about me confronting her but agreed we had arrived in time & reluctantly handed over the drink tickets. I asked about food options again & was told she didn’t know. Our only other experience with staff was checking out & you can’t really mess that up. As for the room itself, it was literally falling apart. I have never seen a Hilton in such poor state. The queen doubles are just doubles. The lay out is great, however the towel holder was falling off the wall. The toilet paper came empty. The shower was cracked to the point my child wouldn’t take a shower. The ceiling in the shower was moldy & the best part was standing in my own shower water while taking a shower. The tv stand in the sitting room also fell apart when my mother in law turned the tv off at night. Our main door would not shut unless it was slammed. There were black hairs throughout the room (we all have blonde hair) & there was an awful smell coming from the sink in the sitting area (I also took photos to support all claims) They also advertise “free made to order breakfast” even when you call the hotel, Which was a huge seller for us due to the COVID. Well that breakfast was a single hard boiled egg, a juice, a chewy granola, an orange, & two tiny baby muffins in a brown paper bag. You could not order food. By far the worst Hilton I have ever been at & I have been at so many all across the USA. I am beyond disappointed & wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Mediocre Covid Stay
Jun 27th, 2020
Went on a few day get away to the big city after a couple of restrictions were lifted. Was pretty disappointed in our experience even with my super low Covid expectations. The suite room was nice and worked well with my two children. Every amenity closed even the fitness center which could have been open. They had the whole lobby area in the middle closed off. Super over kill considering plenty of restaurants seat people with social distance. Hilton gold member and received none of my promised perks on check in. That honestly was the largest disappointment for me. Clearly worried about making money considering they only had one front desk worker at a time and one person working house keeping. Just personally tired of hearing Covid as an excuse for poor customer service, and running a business. Just stay closed if you have to open in this condition because it was hard for us to tell online that it was going to be this way. Loving the Covington area first time and it was beautiful. Just won’t be staying at this hotel again regardless of Covid. I can tell you personally all you hear about on the Hilton website is the guaranteed Hilton clean seal. Well they missed the mark at this hotel. Clearly doing the best they can with super low staff but if the bar is this low. No one is coming back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Due to COVID restrictions: - evening reception consists of a bottle of beer, can of coke or CAN of whine. - All amenities CLOSED: pool, restaurant, fitness room, atrium. - All ice machines turned off - Only desk clerk and maintenance man on duty, they can’t bring or deliver you anything. Non-COVID: - Room smelled stale. - Great river and bridge view at the expense of blinding floodlights on the building. The curtains do little to block the light. - Rooms are two DOUBLE beds, not two QUEENS like most Hilton brands. - Bathroom nicely renovated, now do the rest of the room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This is my second time staying at this particular Embassy Suite hotel. Last year we had a wonderful experience so we booked again when it was time for my daughters dance competition. I LOVE the convenience of the digital key for check in and for check out. It made it a very easy transition into the room and out of the room. Once we arrived into our room it instantly smelled. It smelled like mildew and or cat urine. We had an adjoining room and the adjoining room also had an overwhelming disgusting smell to it. On Saturday, we utilized the breakfast bar and found two moldy pieces of bread put out for customers to eat. We instantly left and wanted no part with the rest of the free breakfast. After a long day at the dance competition we decided to come back and eat at the hotel. Once again, extremely disappointed. The gentleman behind the bar stated he would come take our orders. However, we waited 15 minutes and asked him again if he could take our order. He eventually came over. The restaurant was out of many items, the fountain drinks were terrible and watered down, the quality of the food was terrible. We had to send back burgers several times due to them coming out raw. Comparing our two stays from last year and this year its like night and day. Im not sure if we will return next year. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We were very happy with our stay at the Embassy Suites Cincinnati Rivercenter. We would highly recommend staying there. The Breakfast Buffet was outstanding with a very nice selection of foods to chose from. Nice walk across the bridge into Cincinnati from the hotel. We read previous reviews,, that some were negative, on trip advisor but decided to stay anyway and we are very Happy we did. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
