Never again

Mar 13th, 2020

The room was outdated, smelly, and dirty. The door handle was broken, the bath tube clogged, the AC broken. DO NOT attempt to have dinner at the TASTE. You will never taste anything because a $23 burger takes more than 40 minutes. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Embassy 420

Unless you want to be in the middle of a party, don’t stay at this hotel. You sign a non party agreement when you check in, limiting guests to a room and you cannot bring in party trays. That was no problem for us as we checked in so my daughter could have time to study for mid terms. As soon as we got in the elevator, there were people brining in trays of food. The elevator and hallways smelled of marijuana and cigarette smoke. Small children yelling and running up and down the hallways. People hanging out in the hallways and tapping on the railings. It didn’t quiet down until after midnight. When I talked to the front desk, they said it was like this on the weekends. Locals check in to enjoy the pool and reception hour. Needless to say, the rooms are in so disrepair. There was holes in the ceiling, stains on the carpet, it was just filthy. Embassy Suites is usually my first choice, but this one is definitely below a Hilton standard, yes they are renovating it, but they need to have more security to control what is going on in their hotel. Gross

Please do not think that this is a clean and updated hotel based on the pictures of the lobby. The lobby has been updated, but the rooms are a hot mess. The carpet is dingy and threadbare, I would not even come close to sitting on the fabric chair. The water in the bath was never hot and the bedding was thin. We were asked to sign a no party waiver, but the entire ground floor smelled like weed and we had to ask our neighbors if they could take their social conversations inside after midnight. Careful if you are parking a large SUV, several people in our party had damage due to the tiny spaces. The good part...the very nice and hard working staff who served the breakfast buffet. My suggestion, stay elsewhere. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Don't bother. . .

I am a long-time Hilton (Gold) HHonors member IMHO, this property is an embarrassment to the Embassy Suites brand and to Hilton I had to wait nearly an hour for the (3rd party operated} airport shuttle. The drive to the hotel was like being inside "MarioCart"; waaaay too fast and rough. The hotel building is in a commercial area and the grounds appear well-maintained. However, inside, common areas are worn and dirty, especially carpeting. Stepping into the lobby I walked through a group of sketchy looking people {guests}. The single front desk clerk was pleasant to deal with. My suite on the 2nd floor was disgusting. Well-worn furniture. The carpeting was worn and stained. The lighting was so dim that even with all the lights turned on, it was like working in a cave. My major issue was noise. I am used to the Embassy Suite "rooms facing an atrium" issue - lots of noise from the main floor. However, the issue is/was construction noise. The racket of drilling {I suspect drilling/coring through concrete} was constant throughout the afternoon. And from elsewhere in the hotel, incessant pounding. When I called the front desk, their answer was simply that the noise would continue through 5pm. Frankly, IMHO, the operators of this hotel should have shut down the hotel and fast-tracked the remodeling now being completed. As it is, the hotel will probably rely on the old trick of having TripAdvisor "reset the meter" when the remodeling is complete claiming that it's a new experience. Perhaps. But I don't plan to come back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Don’t stay here until the renovations are finished

Don’t stay here until the renovations are finished. Restaurant and front desk are Great. Hallways were dirty and there were dirty dishes everywhere. TV’s are a joke. This Embassy Suites is not representative of their brand. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
