4 hour alarm evacuation + roaches at breakfast

Jan 19th, 2020

I'm a weekly business traveler so I pick and choose my battles. My visit started with a less than par greeting by the front desk woman. Without saying a word, she left me there waiting for over 15 minutes while my room was being inspected. I got up to my room and the pillow cases and duvet cover had small curly black hairs and brown stains on them. The bathroom light didn't work. My 2nd night the alarm went off for 4 hours with NO communication. It was 1230am and the entire hotel/room alarms were sounding. People were everywhere because nobody made any announcements about where to go. We tried 3 times to speak with a Manger the next 2 days without success. My last morning I went down to have breakfast and what do you know, I see two cockroaches by the coffee. I will be addressing this with Management and the Diamond desk, but I think everyone should know about these happenings. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent Customer Service and Stay

Jan 19th, 2020

I am really pleased to have such a great experience with this Embassy Suites. Lillie was very helpful and super kind with my check in and I feel very welcomed as a guest. Tomas was another who was super awesome, he helped me to find an excellent IPA beer at the bar. I really appreciate this experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Embassy Delivers in Albuquerque

Jan 5th, 2020

Second time staying at this property. Check in excellent. Rooms clean and nicely appointed. Closets don’t have doors, which was slightly bothersome as I don’t really like my personal things exposed to hotel staff. Complementary breakfast outstanding with many choices and cooks will make omelets, pancakes tc. Evening reception of snacks and a drink nice tough. Common areas beautiful. We had a fire alarm trigger when we were leaving and manager made frequent announcements as to what she wanted us to do while they investigated. No hot water one morning for shower but it returned soon after. On property restaurant is hit and miss. Go elsewhere as many choices a few minutes away. Spa is excellent. Loved it the second time and will return again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Time for a remodel.

The Good - great location for traveling on I 40 and I 25. - Near downtown Albuquerque and U of NM. But not walkable. - Bartenders at evening happy hour are great. Not so good - very dated decor. Can't believe Hilton let's this hotel keep its Embassy Suites name. - no plugs or USB ports near the beds. - $10 charge for parking on a outdoor surface lot. - evening managers food offerings were weakest I have seen at an ES. - no Hilton Honors line at check in. Only one person checking people in. Lots of families on road trips checking in. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
