Clean, polite, wonderful

Located in downtown Amarillo, with a parking garage next door. Our suite was on the 6th floor with a lovely view. Shower was huge, bathroom was spotless. Lovely lighted mirror in bathroom! Room floors are not carpet, which I appreciate. Breakfast was well done as a walk thru buffet. Bar served well made drinks and food. The two bartenders we had were very kind ladies. Lobby the 3 days we were there was freezing! Staff all word their winter coats during their shifts. While we ate and drank at the bar we also had to leave our coats on to stay warm. This is my only complaint about the hotel at all. while we were there the bar and restaurant area was getting a facelift of fresh paint. However during the evenings the temperatures there in the lobby had to be in the sixties. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Very good stay, except

Our stay was very good. Check in was quick and staff was friendly. Parking around the hotel was free or park at the garage for $7.00. Rooms are big and very comfortable. Breakfast was limited but still very good. Great location. The only problem was our microwave started to smell like an electrical fire. We call several times to get help or maintenance but our calls got us nowhere. I told housekeeping to get us help and advised them of what was happening still no help. We finally had to call the fire dept for help. I could see any flames but we could smell something burning. The fire dept can were quickly and help us out. We never did speak to maintenance or a manager, but I was able to get a different room. Still a very good stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not what you’d expect

We checked in with a 4 person wait. While I checked in my husband had panhandlers knocking on our car window. While checking in was very difficult to understand the employee because she spoke very fast and seemed disinterested in my questions. We had to park across the street and it was very hard for 2 76-year olds to carry our bags to our room. No one directed me to any luggage carriers. Once in the room there were no working phones and only an iPad to communicate your needs. We were not told that the restaurant was not open on Sunday or Monday—so no food. The cover on the TV remote that said it was cleaned was a lie because there were fingerprints all over it and the iPad in the room that I had to clean myself. Maintenance came up to look at the phones and said they haven’t been working for a long time-so no emergency contact is possible. He also said the wires in the lights are twisted and broken. Yet another chain that lies and conceals to get your business. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Freaking Sweet Hotel!!!

Nicest hotel I think I have ever been. The suites are large and very clean. The hotel was a great place to stay the night and I will be glad to stay there again. I’m not sure if every room is a suite but if you’re traveling with a group it’s a great add on! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice rooms but no complimentary parking

Hotel was beautiful and with the digital key, offers a complete contactless experience. Unfortunately, we had to visit the front desk twice and ask for a different room because our digital key did not work, nor did the plastic keys. Once relocated, we found our room very comfortable. Room service menu was very, very limited, unfortunately, so we had to leave the parking garage to get dinner which resulted in having to pay twice to park. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
