PARKING CHARGE

Jun 25th, 2019

There is a parking charge that was not communicated to us and appeared on my email bill after we left I had to call on it. Rooms are a little on the old side bit were very clean. Our AC didn't work well and it was way too stuffy in the room for me. Breakfast was food quality but was not ready on time and we were trying to get an early start to the Grand Canyon. The parking fee seems wrong to me . How could anyone stay there without a car? This is not a big city. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Less than Expected

Jun 25th, 2019

This property is not the usual hotel configuration; it appears to be a converted Homewood Suites. The rooms surround an open area that is mainly a pool. The rooms are best reached by driving to the parking nearest your room and entering via one of the outside doors. The corridors make numerous turns and there are several inclined ramps (not severe, yet a challange for people with limited mobility). The rooms are smaller than nearly all the Emabssy Suites we have stayed in before. The living room floor had food particles in and around the couch in the living room. We had to call the front desk to get hotel maintenance fix the tv in the bedroom (no sound) - they responded immediately to our reported issue. The front desk clerk (Tammy) went above and beyond to aid us in resolving a non-stay related issue. She made several calls in order to provide us a potential solution. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Some things good and some not

Jun 19th, 2019

Great staff and happy hour. The rooms were a little outdated compared to other Embassy Suites we have stayed in. The tub in our room was chipped, toilet was sitting crooked. We were on the top floor and the air conditioning unit below us vibrated so much that you could feel it at the sink and into the bedroom. It was really annoying and happened constantly. Like a Homewood Suites, not an Embassy Suites!

Jun 18th, 2019

This hotel is not up to par with the typical Embassy Suites, and was very disappointing. The hallways were dingy and dark. WiFi would only stay connected for a few minutes and then would constantly drop. Not acceptable in 2019, and for the amount we spent to stay at this hotel. Charging for parking is infuriating in a geographical region where parking and land is plentiful. Breakfast had good made-to-order omelettes but not pancakes that the kids look forward to. Beds very comfortable. This hotel is like a Homewood Suites that had been turned into an Embassy Suites! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Passing Through

Jun 17th, 2019

Embassy Suites hotel. The room itself was magnificent per most Embassy Suites, however, the breakfast in the morning was very frustrating. As most people know, Embassy Suites always give complementary full breakfasts. While this is true at the Flagstaff hotel, the dining room is way too small to accommodate all the guests that arrived at 8am for breakfast. We had to wait a while for a table. Also there were various items such as coffee and waffles that were out for an extended period of time. Overall it appears the breakfast is simply under staffed. Also I was charged $7 for parking. I did not learn about this until I receive an email with my receipt. I don’t recall being told about the parking charge when I checked in and while parking charges are usually expected in big cities or congested downtown areas, I would hardly expect Flagstaff, AZ to be considered a big city or have a congested downtown—and this hotel is not located in the downtown area.
