Not only one of the worst hotels, but definitely the worst Hilton property ever. And I stay at Hiltons more than my own house. Dingy and dated room, dirty towels, stains on the furniture, and no evening reception or bfast. They blame it on "Covid", but I've been traveling thru this whole thing and other Hiltons still offer these (and this hotel still falsely advertises this as a perk). No recognition as a HHonors Diamond member and no welcome amenities or extra points. Wish I had paid an extra $70 on an AirBnB tonight. Location is also terrible and they charge you to self park in their own private hotel parking lot. Stay away. Also, how much you want to bet the "manager" copy/pastes that same reply to this review. Wish I had read these reviews before booking, I cannot express how much of a regret this is.. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I want to start with the staff was great, understanding and courteous. I noticed the lobby was worn and smelled stale but I hoped for the best. The halls smelled bad. Upon entering our room, the stale odor hit us even though we had on masks. The furniture was worn and tired. The bathroom was worn and in need of updating. The bathroom fan sounded like a helicopter. The carpets were frayed and looked filthy. I opened the window but it would only go about six inches. There were people screaming in the pool and jacuzzi. I did not want to sit on anything. We reloaded our car and the front desk clerk credited our card. Promptly left. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Worst Embassy Suite Hotel I've Ever Stayed in

I'm just returning from a long weekend in Flagstaff and feel compelled to inform people this property does not meet the Embassy Suite brand. As others have written, this place is old, rundown, dirty and use Covid as an excuse for everything. ( Shame on me for not reading reviews before I booked). Let's start with the check in. We arrive on property at 4:30pm on Friday. My Digital key would not download on my phone so I had to go to the front desk. I give them my information and I'm told, " your room isn;t ready yet and may be another 30 min" I said in reply, its 4:30...Your check in is at 4:00. I could tell by the parking lot that the place was about vacant and could already sense the covid excuse. The attendant, goes back to another room for a few min, then comes out and says..Oh..it appears your room is available. First night...toilet ran off an on all night and freezing cold air blowing out of the HVAC system with thermostat set at 84. In the morning, I go to the front desk and request a new room . The gentleman at the desk, said no problem, when will you be back. I told him 4:00pm. I return at 4:00 and explain the situation to the clerk. Apparently next to her was the manager and she says oh, you're in room 313....Booth those issues have been fixed. I said, Oh..I was told this morning that i can change rooms? her reply....We are totally sold out of King beds, but can move you to two queens. Her attitude towards me was extremely rude. I said to her..."So to be clear, everything is fixed in our room?" She replied "yes and if you don;t believe me you can ask my maintenance guy who is right over there??? I was a bit shocked by the comment. Anyways, we proceed up to the room. As I approached the room with my key, I pushed on the door and it opened without the use of my key, essentially our door was open. We had laptops, a purse, and other valuables in the room and suddenly its open?? Within 15 min of being in the room, the toilet begins to run again, just like the night before. I started to get very irritated. I called down to the desk, and explained the situation. First the open door. the reply...is anything missing in your room?? I said, not that i know of but that not the issue. someone came in the room and left our door open..... Secondly, the toilet is still broken and not fixed as you had promised it was! I said this is ridiculous and asked to speak with her boss. She told me that the GM will not be in until Monday but I have spoken to him and he has offered to give you a discount and we will move you to another room with 2 beds or he'll cancel your room and you can go to another hotel . The later comment floored me as here is a GM that has obviously had issues in the past and thats how he wants to deal with a problem...go to another hotel. Hindsight, now...should have. I'll speed up the rest....move rooms, wake up next morning...same issue. NO HEAT. Maintenance guy ( who was the nicest person on properly) comes up, made the heat work but also explains that the building is old, rundown and the systems are from 1984 when the building was built. Back to my earlier statement...This property is not an Embassy Suite standard. Night 3, the heat worked great...only problem was it would not stop!! The thermostat was set as low as it could go and it just blew hot air. At 2 in the morning I finally had to just turn it off and prepare for another cold morning! We couldn't leave this property quick enough yesterday morning. On Saturday during the debacle, i requested the general mgr. call me when he came in....No phone call and no discount given on my bill. I've stayed at hilton property's for 30 years and when i travelled a lot was diamond level for about 10 years. Hands down the worst experience I have ever had. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Embassy Suites Flagstaff is easy walking distance onto the NAU campus and near all of the area activities and restaurants. Plus, John at the front desk really helped us out when we forgot a piece of a kid's piece of orthodontic equipment. Huge customer service support! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Dirty, Broken, Corners cut being blamed on Covid.

1st, the room was filthy. 2nd, the staff has an attitude. 3rd, the lounge and bar area is closed due to Covid, an excuse to save money. 4th, you'll keep finding that things are broken. The room is disgusting. The returns have filthy air filters, and that is probably why the air conditioning does not work. Toothpaste was still on the vanity from the previous guest, and the carpet may have been vacuumed 2 or 3 months ago. When dealing with the staff, they make you feel like you're bothering them. They'd rather be in the back eating and on their phones. I had a guy try to help get my clothes dried and he brought them back 20 minutes later still wet. I can't completely blame the staff, because there is only one person running the front desk at a time and they do appear to look over whelmed, so I believe that management is to blame. I guess blaming poor hospitality and poor cleanliness on covid is the best business practice that this hotel can muster. Rooms are only serviced every three days. You can only get two wash clothes per day, even if you have more than two people in your room. They ask that you try to not use so many wash clothe, because "they are running out". The dinning room is blocked by garbage cans full of trash toprvent the spread of covid. Also the lounge area is blocked off with a pile of chairs and table, to block the spread of covid. Then your complimentary breakfast is a bagel with cream cheese witha couple of ounces of apple juice, so to stop the spread of Covid. If you look into the room behind the front desk, while waiting for some help, you'll notice a P.M. schedule posted on the wall. Most of that scheduled work really needs to be completed by competent maintenance personnel. The pull-out couch in our room nearly broke my 6 year old daughters leg because instead of replacing the missing springs, someone decided to maneuver a few springs to hold the mattress up. When my daughter tried to crawl across the bed the mattress collapsed and her leg was twisted by the the springs and the bar. Also, the dryers are broke, the min-ifridge doesn't get cold enough, the AC doesn't really work. I can keep going on about how miserable this place is, but do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
