Worst place we have stayed in a while. Room was dirty. Had a smell. Neighbors next door smoking cigarettes every 5 minutes. We complained and while a warning was given it did not stop. Bags of hotel dirty linens left outside of our room in hallway for two days straight. Highly disappointed in this Embassy Suites. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
The night of HORROR!

I’m a Hilton Honors member and choose Hilton every time I travel. I love cities with an Embassy. I love the spacious rooms, breakfast, and happy hour. Typical they are clean and updated with great customer service. However, the Jacksonville Embassy suites Baymeadows is the complete opposite! Upon checking in we were put in a room with no balcony after they wrote us to upgrade to a balcony room. After returning from dinner we were walking to the room. As we see maintenance walking into our room. We say “hey!” He stopped and said he was told to “inspect the for bugs!”. We immediately packed up our belongs and rush to front desk. The manager told me she gave him the wrong room number and it was for sugar ants . As I thought sugar ants on the second floor you’ll see a trail? But anyways we decided to stay . I told the manager this strike #2. She stated “do what you got to do” very nasty! We went back upstairs and my friend was in the blanket and seen a bed bug! We ran out of there! Went to front desk they put us in a different tower. The rep and maintenance didn’t even move a muscle to go check that room like they didn’t care!. So now we are in a new room . We go in there and needless to say just look at the pictures. The GM came in the morning and comp the night and gave 50% and had housekeeping come in and clean. That was the worse experience ever! It really ruined my trip as it was very aggravating. I wouldn’t wish this hotel on anyone! A dog doesn’t even deserve to stay here! The breakfast.....don’t waste your tine just grab a orange and get out of there . So disappointed with this establishment ! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Our family booked two suites on May 20. Upon arrival, room 603 had a terrible smell of smoke. Our other room was fine. Went down to the front desk to notify them of the smell and to ensure we aren’t charged for cleaning. The lady made a note but no offer to change rooms etc. At check in, we specifically asked the gentlemen checking us in about breakfast. He told all four of us that they would have eggs etc. he did say he wasn’t sure about omelets. We asked because we have gluten and dairy allergy’s, which is why we always stay at embassy property’s. Well we just went down for breakfast and there was nothing but bags with nutri grain, yogurt and an apple. We all understand the COVID thing, but all restaurants are open, and the hotel restaurant even serves dinner to paying guests. Really no excuse to not offer anything hot to eat. Being a diamond for life Hilton guy, I have not left many negative reviews. But if you are open for business, then be open for business. So now I’m paying $45 for breakfast at metro diner just down the road. They don’t seem to have any issues feeding their guests. Just really disappointed and hopefully this is just an isolated incident TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Frustrated with cleanliness.

My partner and i spent the night on Tuesday 4/28 for one night. I work in the ER and I needed a place to stay. We stayed in a seemingly nice room on the second floor. I have stayed at several Embassy Suites in the south and I was surprised at the lack the lack of cleanliness. The room itself was nice but their were a few issues that made me think room 231 was less than clean. The first issue was that when I went to put my drink in the fridge, there was a ziplock of what seemed to be meat. I figure that the made was busy and missed it, that’s okay. The next issue was that the bathtub didn’t seem clean. There were black specs everywhere. That’s when I became concerned that they weren’t taking precautions to keep the room clean. The next issue was that the mirror on the back of the bedroom door was covered in child’s handprints. That means it wasn’t cleaned very well. I was prepared to look past those three strikes but then we took the extra bedding at the top of the closet out because we wanted extra bedding and it smelled like straight mildew. It’s a nice hotel but I was staying there assuming that it would be cleaned like I was staying in a room during the covid crisis but unfortunately there were multiple issues. I’d give them one more chance but it was very frustrating as a healthcare worker to want somewhere clean to stay and be greeted with these multiple issues. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We were warmly greeted Namie and Armeena. They were very friendly and helpful explaining the changes to the breakfast service during the coronavirus pandemic. Thw room was very clean, and housekeeping was also very friendly. We highly recommend and would stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
