Accommodating

Oct 11th, 2020

Nice property with friendly and helpful staff. Was able to get adjoining rooms with no problem, which were spacious and clean. Valet was no issue at all. While I do miss the full service breakfast, that Embassy's usually provide, individual continental breakfast is available from the front desk upon request. Would return in a heartbeat. Do recommend the scooters for easy to transit thru the city. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Really Excellent Hotel

Oct 7th, 2020

I was torn for choice and didn’t want to splurge one the Conrad around the corner, but boy was I impressed. Excellent suite, location, breakfast and evening cocktail party. I would happily stay here on my next trip to Washington DC! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent Location! Exceptional Staff!

Sep 17th, 2020

The location of this hotel was wonderful. We stayed in a corner suite (1402) and it was outstanding. The room was large, clean, and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The made-to-order breakfast and Happy Hour were not available due to Covid-19, but the low room rate clearly reflected this. Elvis & Michaila at the front desk were amazing! They went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the DC area. We will definitely be back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very Uncomfortable Stay

Sep 14th, 2020

The good thing about the hotel is its location. It is in a very walkable area adjacent to the high end retail district in downtown DC. Checking in was relatively easy. Once i got to my room, however, the nightmare began. The room was freezing cold. I immediately went to the thermostat to adjust the temperature to turn on some heat to take the chill off the room. Unable to get the heat to come on, I turned off the HVAc system. I called the front desk to report the problem and was informed that the heat would not be coming on because the boiler was off. After sending an engineer up to confirm the low temperature, I was moved to another room which appeared to be warmer initially. However, as I got settled in there, it was also too chilly to be comfortable. In addition, the room was damp and had a musty/moldy smell. I tried to make it work hoping that as the temperature rose outside the room temperature would follow suit. It did not. I decided to check out after 2 days of a scheduled 3 day trip. The temperature control issue ruined my planned 3 day weekend of rest and relaxation away from home. I will not be returning to this property. I have never been to a hotel where you couldn't have heat or air whenever you wanted either. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

VERY LOUD and DIRTY...

Sep 12th, 2020

found this mess behind my TV stand. Chsrged a fortune and then they tell us they do not do housecleaning between days. Floor was moist...... There was ALSO a multiform party going on and the room walls all are thin. Almost 1000 usd for 5 nights... was here because my mother was at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and we needed to be close. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
