Great Location and excellent staff

Jul 18th, 2019

This hotel is in an excellent midtown location close to almost all the major sites (we walked everywhere apart from the financial district). The staff are really quite excellent and housekeeping was immaculate. The room was clean and modern. We had a qeen suite which consisted of a queen bed and a pull out sofa bed for our 15 year old son, separated by a 'two thirds' wall, which afforded us both some degree of privacy. There was a large flat screen tv across from both beds. The room is - for New York - generously sized. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and we slept well, helped by black out curtains. As we were on the 12th floor, the noise from the street (which we faced) was minimal (although it is NY so you expect some noise!). I'd agree with other reviewers regarding lack of hanging space. After getting additional hangers form house keeping we did manage, but only just! Unfortunately we experienced 2 negative issues. The first - which the hotel could do nothing about during our stay - was with the bathroom door, which is a pocket door which slides into the wall. As there is no handle on the door, it's almost impossible to close it properly. You have to slide to close it, but if you slide it with too little force it stays relatively open, and too much force it simply bounces back open! This may be fine if you're single or a couple who don't mind listening to one another in the bathroom... (definitley not us!), but we loathed it and found it a major annoyance. We also had a second, more serious issue around health & safety. However, the hotel management dealt with this well and to our satisfaction, so I won't mention the detail here, other than to say it was a one off and highly unlikley to happen again to another guest. Despite this incident (and our hatred of the bathroom door!), we've given this hotel 4 stars. It would have been 5 stars if the bathroom door was 'normal'! In summary, we'd recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again, and you can't say fairer than that! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Superb Hotel - great attention to detail...worth every cent!

Stayed in Executive Le Soleil for a recent trip to NYC and what an absolute gem of a hotel. From the moment we walked in, nothing was too much trouble...our room 1705 was just amazing...had the most superb view of the Empire State and as it lit up at night it truly was a sight to behold. Even in the shower, you had this amazing view....it just made our whole trip so memorable. Also in the room was a little kitchenette area incl microwave and fridge and sink,,,Complimentary water every day without fail....we didnt use kitchen area much but could be v useful for some. We opted for breakfast package and it was great. Had Turkey sausages and fried potatoes, juices, a pancake station, fruit and yogurt, bread, cheese, jam and coffee/tea/..we really thought it was great.... But for us it was the staff that stood out...at reception they helped by confirming our dinner reservations at local restaurant, sent us a lovely card and wine for our Anniversary....honestly they were the friendliest people we met in the US....the Management of this hotel should be very proud of its staff! Cleaning staff impeccable with superb linen changes and towel changes - I love extra towels and there were plenty here even for me. Outside the hotel on the street about 5 doors down is THE KEG ROOM Irish bar and across road MCGETTIGANS IRISH bar and near that is the famous KEENS STEAKHOUSE - all on the same street so all amenities nearby. Times Square a leisurely 10 min walk, Macys a 5 min walk or less, Empire State 3 mins walk, Subway nearby but we didnt use that, we just got a cab or walked if you're thinking about this hotel - GO THERE...spend a bit extra for superb nice room! Perfect location, beautiful hotel

Jul 15th, 2019

We spent a week here with our grandson is a room perfect for the three of us: a separate alcove with a sofa bed for him and a nice space and queen bed for us. Great location in midtown, close to everything including a mainline subway stop. Staff was very friendly and quite helpful. Restaurant left something to be desired for breakfast, but we didn’t try other meals but had a nice cocktail in the lounge one night. fast, free WiFi. Delightful experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My stay at LeSoliel

Jul 14th, 2019

The hotel is a nice cosy property with staff who respond immediately to your needs. It’s located very conveniently. I would only Sunthari the breakfast menu that is included in the room rents should be a little more diverse. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We loved our stay, we had a room with a wonderful view on the Empire State Building, it was elegant, clean and also very quiet! The staff was very helpful and friendly. You have everything you need in short walking distance, you could even walk to all the sights! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
