at the Extended Stay America-Orange County- Anaheim Convention Ctr
Dec 5th, 2019
Very Disappointed! Review of Extended Stay America - Orange County - Anaheim Convention Center Pending review Was this suppose to be a hotel? I must have missed what this was as it was not up to any expectation I had of a hotel near Disney. There was no maid service. We returned from Disneyland after a long day and everything was how we left it that morning. The "hotel" needs to save their money on that breakfast. There were packaged muffins. There was coffee. There were packages of instant oatmeal and hot chocolate but no offering of hot water, or bowls or utensils. There were no utensils, bowls or cups in the mini kitchen in our room either so I am curious how we were suppose to enjoy the hot chocolate or oatmeal? The 4th floor hallway had a horrible stench. Not sure what that was up there. We had to hold our noses when we went to and from our room. There was 3 eviction notices on the room across from us. I guess they extended there stay at the Extended Stay. Never saw one of those before on a hotel room door. The bed mattress was okay. But seriously, bare bones everything in that room. The location is fine for walking to Disney. The only really nice thing about the hotel was the lobby staff seemed really friendly. That was the one plus. They are your gold mine. Extend my stay, hooray!

I really loved this place. The good: Nice and quiet! This place is kept nearly immaculately clean! I had a kitchenette and everything was in order. One thing to note: the tapwater tastes funny, so you may want to bring your own. TV worked great, great quality, easy guide. Hotel is about a half mile from Disneyland, you can walk, rideshare or bus over. Staff was friendly and helpful. The bad: More communication on what buses or shuttles go over to Disneyland would be great. I didn't realize there was a bus that went THROUGH the parking lot until the end of my 2nd day here - after walking back from Disneyland. My freezer had some weird tapping noise in it when it would turn on - I thought it was a kid next room over playing at first. I would definitely come back and stay here again. I booked my vacation through booking.com and I got a T-Mobile Tuesday deal on that as well. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Decent for the Location, Needs Improvement

We got this hotel as a Hotwire Hot Deal and it was super cheap. Think under a hundred bucks. For walking distance to Disneyland, it was a killer deal. The room was decent, looked to be recently updated. There was ZERO hot water the entire trip. It got to warm-ish at the very best, but never got HOT, not even in the sink in the bathroom or kitchen. Decent microwave and fridge. We didn't use the other kitchen amenities though. Bed was decently comfortable, pillows were hard. A/C unit worked well. Decent TV. Don't be fooled by the "free breakfast". It's more like "free breakfast snacks" as it's just oatmeal, granola bars, tiny mini muffin and coffee and cocoa. So though we had thought it was a continental type breakfast it was not, so if you're figuring that into your budget you will want to rethink that, unless you don't eat much for breakfast. The pool looked nice, but we didn't use it. The hotel is walking distance to Disneyland, but it is a pretty decent walk, but it also has an ART stop right in front, so for a few bucks you can do that and save your strength for walking around the parks. :) All in all not a bad deal for the price we got, but I would have been pretty upset if I had paid much more than what I paid, and I think they should be a little more clear about their "free breakfast" for those of us on a budget. Good if you like dirty, dated, dingy spaces

One absolutely gets what one pays for here. It's my own fault, really, booking on a bargain site in the hopes of saving a few bucks. I should've just stuck to my brand, but sometimes the desire to be frugal rears its ugly head, and I have to obey...and end up paying for it. This hotel is tucked away off a main street, so it's quiet in the area, which is about the only positive I can give in this review. Check-in was a disaster, with the one girl working the counter choosing to ignore us to finish her "what did you do last night?" conversation with the co-worker hanging out over the counter. The stairwell we took to and from the car was dank and dirty, with tissue and chip bags and soda cans hanging out on every landing. The hallways had a stink to them, which permeated into the room. And the room. Goodness. We had once contemplating moving into an Extended Stay for a month while we sell our home, but after staying one night at this hotel, I can guarantee that will never happen. The room was dingy. The carpet felt crunchy, the surfaces felt clammy. The box spring was stained and the pillows were so flat they were irrelevant. The bathroom was dated and the kitchen needed a scrubbing. We spent as little time as possible in that space, and left as quickly as we could. If you're a fan of things like clean spaces and welcoming staff, I'd advise you to book a room elsewhere. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
