Spacious apartment downtown

Aug 20th, 2019

Spacious apartment which was fully equipped. Clean kitchen with a big fridge, bed with good mattress, big enough bathroom. Friendly staff. Only downside is the „breakfast“, which consists of weak coffee and some pastries. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great stay, Lola rocks!

Aug 16th, 2019

I’ve already filled this out so I’m tired of the emails, but the stay was 10/10 and Lola was so nice at the front desk! Definitely was a fan of the kitchen you guys had in the rooms as well as the exquisitely comfy bedding. Used the word exquisite for more characters so it might be a bit over exaggerated. Not Recommended At All

Aug 13th, 2019

There's the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good- the air conditioning works well, the bed was comfortable, and the noise level under control. Location was great. That gets you two stars. The bad- cleaning was surface only- the bathroom tub needed cleaning, and there was debris on the bathroom floor, partially hidden by the trash can under the sink. A quick look under the bed revealed that no one vacuum had visited that area for a very long time (my earring had fallen from the night table). There is also, despite having a serviceable kitchen, nothing that you can use in that kitchen unless you call and ask for it from the front desk "staff". No dishes, no silverware. no pots, no coffee pot- nothing but a dish rag, which was sad- it nothing to clean. Cleaning your room comes at an additional charge -, (isn't it amazing what the tourist industry can get away with nowadays- it's a motel folks- the price quoted should include daily room cleaning), but if you need replacement towels or sheets, I was told that you can bring the dirty ones to the front desk, and they would switch them out with clean ones. (Really? You can't come up to the room and change these things out yourself- your guests have to schlep them through the lobby to you???). The ugly- there is no such thing as a "grab and go" breakfast- there is nothing other than coffee. When, on the second day of my four day stay, I asked a staff member in the elevator, on my way up from a search of anything other than morning coffee, about the lack of food for the past two days, I was informed that it was like that all week- that the manager, despite having the option of picking up breakfast food from a neighboring Extended Stay, opted to get nothing- for the entire week. Even then, I was witness to the front desk clerk, checking in two parties at once (imagine the lack of personalized service with that action) and telling them, as she did us two days prior, that there was a small breakfast of granola bars and muffins to "start your day" in the downstairs lounge, when she knew, as did I at that time, that there was no such thing. Lying to guests, knowing full well that you did so, is not a great way to make friends and win customers. So let's talk "staff". We checked in when there was no one around- and by that, I mean no guests, and no staff. After waiting about two minutes, a young woman did emerge from the back, on her cell phone on an obviously personal call, and attempted to sign us in, all the while continuing with the call. Interesting. At check out, another woman at the front desk told us that we could not get a receipt, because we had booked the stay through a "third party"- When pressed, she was able to look in the computer for the daily rate and told me that there were no extra charges, but was unable to provide anything in writing because, again, the "third party" vendor could only do that. Frankly, if you have the information on your computer screen, you have the option to hit the "print" button. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to others. For the price, there are plenty of other, well located options, and while I have yet to try them, I can only hope that they will not lie to me about services provided. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lola, Lola, Lola

Jul 17th, 2019

Lola was the best thing about this hotel! She was working the front desk when we checked in after our flight. She asked us why we were in town (bachelorette party) and recommended a great happy hour spot around the corner and a walkable BBQ spot. She was the best and so, so nice! The hotel itself is on the older side, rooms definitely smell musty with an old cigarette smoke lingering. It is in a prime location to walk around. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location downtown

Jun 18th, 2019

This hotel is very conveniently located on six Street, within half a mile of Congress Avenue. It is great to have the small kitchenette available as well as free parking. It is a no-frills hotel, but definitely worth the money. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
