OK Stay

Feb 4th, 2020

I knew from reading previous reviews that the location doesn't look anything like the picture. It is situated between two major freeways in an industrial area. Despite this we had no problems during our four night stay. The desk staff was friendly, the room was updated, clean and the the mattress was comfortable. The walls are pretty thin. However, it was quiet after 10 PM and we did not hear any freeway noise (our room was facing the courtyard). Complementary breakfast had a good variety: scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, make-your-own waffles, fresh fruit and an assortment of breads, cold cereals and yogurt. The only jarring thing was the state of the elevator. The wood paneling was very beat-up. For the price, a good value. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Older building but clean and well managed Very current in technology. Slippery steps on the hot tub but all else was very good. Little hard to find but staff was very helpful and friendly. Will stay there again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Shrewd Marketing

Jan 12th, 2020

This hotel is advertised as University area with a complimentary, leafy, summer picture- the reality is that it is located across the interstate, just aside the concrete jungle, in an area that I Hope was safer than it looked or felt. The property is a rebranded motor lodge with very old and tired public areas. POSITIVE COMMENTS: the rooms are clean and comfortable, WiFi is solid, staff is nice. Breakfast had variety. The door to our room was so poor that I could see into the hall around the edges. This is a dog friendly property BUT when you arrive you will find the pet agreement is significantly more restrictive than indicated on the web site- requiring the pet to leave the hotel every time the customer does- pet restrictions are understood but MUST be clear on the website so the perspective guest can make a decision that’s best for them. The room is the core of a hotels business and the room quality here helped them raise to an average. Ok for a quick roadside stay- think we would look elsewhere, question the Fairfield branding here. Hotel sub brands are designed so a customer anywhere knows what they are getting- didn’t happen here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not Great. Could be worse.

Definitely in need of some updates and improvements. Older hotel. AWFUL WiFi - could only connect for a few minutes at a time. We mentioned it to the front desk and they agreed that it’s bad. Cheap price to sleep for a few hours, on a road trip. Rating of 2.5. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice spacious rooms

Jan 2nd, 2020

Nice hotel. The beds were nice and rooms were big. Had spacious place to move about freely. The reception staff was friendly and courteous. The breakfast has lots of choices and i was particularly impressive the choices it had for the lactose intolerant. That was noteworthy. The location is right at intersection of two major highways but we didn’t hear any noise from traffic. Many reviews indicate housekeeping issues but as we stayed one night we didn’t face such issue and our room was clean. The area does give an impression of being shady and has a security on constantly patrol. However by morning those fears were dispelled. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
