Emergency Stay

Mar 30th, 2020

When my kids got stranded and needed a room for the night with no money. This was the only Hotel around Cooks Children that allowed me to make a payment via credit card over the phone. Would recommend to anyone. The staff was super friendly and helpful even bringing a baby bed up for my granddaughter. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean and Convenient

Mar 7th, 2020

We stayed the night of 3/6/20. Close to I-30 and TCU campus. Walking/jogging trails behind hotel in Trinity Park. Near Ft Worth Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our bathroom was missing the complimentary soaps and lotions. We called the desk and the manager immediately brought some up to our room with apologies. The lobby and breakfast area were immaculate and the breakfast had a large and delicious selection. There are restaurants right in front of hotel for convenience. Highly recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Train horns all night long

Feb 4th, 2020

The location can't be beat for TCU and the Pancake House next door, and being right next to a walking / bike trail along the river was really nice for getting some exercise. The kids enjoyed the pool, and the breakfast was good, with the breakfast attendant very helpful. The room did have a slight funk of cow / barn to it. Did someone not clean their shoes? It was only noticeable the first few minutes we returned to the room. The big downside were the train horns. I'm a light sleeper, and the first night, it woke me up and kept me up for 3 hours as the trains sounded every 15 minutes. This is probably why they offer free ear plugs at the front desk. I had my own, but I could still hear them. No one else in our family complained, just me the light sleeper. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Pleasant and reliable

Jan 1st, 2020

We keep coming back here. For walkers and joggers it's ideal, located on the Trinity Trail. The staff is friendly. Sleep quality was good this time with minimal noise issues. The top floor seems the most quiet. A negative is the lack of extra blankets. This is an older hotel but at $84 it was a very good value. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Do not recommend this hotel

Oct 23rd, 2019

This hotel doesn’t deserve even 1 star. Last Friday I booked a last minute hotel room for my sister right before midnight and she showed up shortly after. When they went to check in the guy at the front desk told them that there was not any reservations under her name, after she told him several times that we just booked. We assumed that it didn’t go through (as I was traveling with bad service when booked) so they ended up leaving and staying at a local family members instead. The next day I realized I was charged for a “no show” so I called and explained the situation. After 3 different times of calling, they decided to believe us. They gave me a refund but then charged me again the same day. I had to call a 4th time and request for the refund again since my sister DID in fact show up, which cameras can prove at that time, and was told she didn’t have a reservation. The manager said I should’ve never got a refund in the first place because no one showed up and the room wasn’t cancelled 48 hours prior. They refuse to give me a refund although my sister did show up, and the person at the front desk failed to do his job properly. I’m sure this is a great hotel to stay in, aside from the employees. The least you can do is admit your mistake and provide a refund when it is necessary. This has been taken to corporate and I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
