Horrible management !
Aug 10th, 2020
Due to the pandemic that’s taken place right now , Fairfield Inn does not accept cash , so therefore my wife and I put a debit card on file . Upon leaving the manager sends my wife an email calling her a thief becauseeeeee the card on file did not go through for 8.56$ for snacks that were purchased for our children Multiple times , not just once but maybe 3-4 times. Without us knowing anything about the 8.56$ owed , she sends a harsh email , threatening and calling her a thief and she’s not welcomed back. Instead of being professional about the situation and just calling upstairs to our room and advising us that we owed 8.56$ , (keep in mind she called upstairs to ask if we were paying to stay another night After already staying there for 3 nights prior) She took it upon herself to boldly email my wife and call her a thief and say she’s not welcomed back all because she did not keep it professional or take care of her part and make sure everything goes through for any purchase like any merchant would. Surely made sure the 3-400$ we spent staying there for a couple nights went through, She wanted to be a angry bird and email someone she doesn’t have any clue about and call her a thief! Well played . Only if she knew my wife is in the process of buying that hotel out and changing it to a homeless shelter! Lol let’s see what job you have after your business brought out ! Ouww that 8.56$ goes a longgggg wayyyy . Moral of this review, watch who you speak rudely and badly upon! CHECKMATE !!🤣 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Overall nice stay

Upon check-in, guest services was very pleasant. Nice young gal greeted us with excitement as we lived not far from her home town. Entered our ‘warm’ room and quickly cranked up the AC - then headed off to our event for the night for the next 6 hours. Once we returned, the room was finally cooled down and comfortable. Glad we had that time to cool the room or it might have been miserable for a while. Bed was COMFORTABLE! In fact one of the better beds I’ve slept on in a hotel! Shower was fabulous - love the shower head. Not too much noise from the hallway or next door, that’s always a plus. Breakfast choices were decent. Great fruit & bread choices. Eggs were okay. Liked the turkey sausage over the regular. Didn’t try the cereal - but hubby said looked good. Oatmeal needs some help - was quite runny for my liking, tried it anyway (good choices in toppings) but it wasn’t the greatest, so ended with PB on toast, fabulous! Need a better toaster, however, and the waffle iron needs replacing as well. Used the toaster - it took FOREVER! Never used the waffle iron but saw what was coming out - might as well just drink the batter and call it good! Pool and hot tub were small but only two people there when we arrived so was no problem. Water felt great! Just cool enough in the pool and awesome in the hot tub. Those jets relaxed all the muscles in my feet - they were screaming before I got in and after were singing harmonies when I got out!! It was awesome! Location was the main reason we stayed here...just two minutes from a park and ride to the state fair. Can’t beat that!! Plus a Walmart/Aldo/Denny’s just down the street and shopping mall a few miles away...if we should have needed a new wardrobe. A few minor negatives (warm rooms, toaster and waffle maker - oh and just A LITTLE more space for the eating area would have been nice) but overall a nice stay. Would recommend staying here if you’re okay with a few minor negatives. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Older Property / Friendly Staff
Aug 25th, 2019
This is an older Fairfield property. I was greeted warmly by the front desk clerk and presented with a small welcome gift. It was a very busy weekend and rates were high — likely because of the State Fair. Large bathroom with plenty of counter space. Very comfortable beds. Standard breakfast with attentive staff. This is an older property that has been maintained. Basic, functional. A bit of scrubbing would be nice in the corners and in the elevators. Slightly noisy-next to highway. Breakfast service on Sunday AM horrid-arrived 1 hour before closure and there were no eggs, fruit, yogurt, coffee or breads. Used the washer and dryer-$4 for both (more than at the next stay). OK but lots of options nearby. Would not choose to return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
What century was this built?

We made reservations here because the website said it had a 4.5 rating out of 277. Well don’t believe it. I’m so disappointed. I feel like I’m in a cleaned up “no tell motel”. The furniture in here must be the original or from a Goodwill Store. The rugs, the paint, the layout, the whole hotel feels like 1960s. Who wrote those website reviews? It’s late at night and we just checked in. It has been a long travel day and so I’m staying the night and leaving tomorrow morning. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
