$27 a Night Valet Parking is the Only Onsite Parking Option
Apr 24th, 2020
This hotel is clean and friendly, but has two major issues. It’s by a deafeningly loud night club. On Saturday night, the music blasted until 3 AM. The street was full of roaming, rowdy, raucous, raunchy revelers from the club. The club was quiet on Sunday night. I won’t rate this hotel less because of this because it’s out of their control. Other reviewers mention that the front desk will give out earplugs upon request, but I was unaware of this, and would have been uninterested in this even if I had known. The only onsite parking option is $27 a night valet parking. Self-parking is not offered onsite. This is unreasonable and unexpected. It’s very uncharacteristic of the Fairfield Inn chain, or any hotel for that matter. This needs to be obviously stated in the information for this hotel that is presented on the online reservation sites. The front desk clerk advised that free public offsite self-parking was available since it was Saturday night, but I didn’t want to go wandering around an unfamiliar area trying to find it especially since I would likely have to walk past the club. This hotel is within walking distance of the Alamo and the River Walk. The Texas shaped waffle maker in the breakfast area was fun. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Location is the best thing
Mar 14th, 2020
We booked this due to the location right next to the Alamo and near the Riverwalk. It was clean and quiet and all the staff we dealt with were great. The breakfast, even though it's supposed to be the standard Fairfield breakfast wasn't as good and didn't have as good a selection as other ones we've stayed at. The price of valet parking was really high, but at least you could text the valet before you came down and the car was waiting for us. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

i was not very happy with the valet prices but AJ made me a lot more open to paying the 27 with his service and hospitality. The stay was very nice and comfortable. Beds very soft and cozy. Would recommend to stay again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Convenient location for convention, good service
Dec 30th, 2019
The hotel is within 10 min walking to the convention center and a few more mins to river walk. The price is generally more reasonable than a few nearby hotels. First checked in to a high floor room, but there are some strange noises on and off for about every 15 seconds. Switched to a lower floor room and it was fine. Standard breakfast selections. A solid selection for this sometimes pricy tourist area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Travel agent review
Dec 28th, 2019
We stayed at the Fairfield to check out the hotel. We’ve stayed in San Antonio several times. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. It is a very short walk to the mall, river walk, and Alamo. Lots to do and see from here. When we got to our room the remote control to the tv was missing. They had one sent up but it didn’t work. They did get the tv working the next day though. The walls seem to be pretty thin, you could hear people talking as if they are right in your room. We were in room 319 and you could hear the kids screaming at the pool until after 11. Don’t expect to get a whole lot of sleep here. Construction starts right across the street at 7:30am. I give this hotel 3 stars because I have seen much better from the Marriott brand. Breakfast was good. Not a whole lot of choices for your meat eaters but a great variety of choices otherwise. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
