Friendly, helpful staff

Mar 19th, 2020

First, after a CRAZY hotel experience with another hotel chain, Tammy from the Fairfield Inn was SUPER helpful at getting me a room in this establishment for a REASONABLE price. She reached out to me, and offered to assist me when the entire area was booked solid. I was supposed to stay at this location from March 13-15 when the Covid-19 hit and shut everything down. The hotel cancelled ALL THREE ROOMS that I had reserved with less than 24 hours notice without a single hesitation and they waved their cancellation fee. Usually, per their cancellation notice, I should have been charged for EACH room for at least one night. Which I completely understood. However, they were so kind and accommodating, that I am CERTAINLY going to give them my business should I require accommodations in Lancaster in the future. Thank you Fairfield Inn! Handled tournament group well; convenient to Spooky Nook; friendly staff

Feb 21st, 2020

We were in the area for a tournament at Spooky Nook. This hotel is convenient to that venue as well as other things like Panera. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and hotel overall were clean and well kept. The elevators were a bit slow. Not enough seating for breakfast at peak times. Otherwise great - we would stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean room, friendly staff

Oct 28th, 2019

Checked-in with Nel for 2 nights. She was friendly and professional as were all the staff we came in contact with at front desk and breakfast. The sign on the entrance door said something about renovations underway but we didn't see or hear any construction work being done. Our single king room was clean and well appointed. Huge TV but the picture was very red and we couldn't figure out how to adjust it but not a big deal. Bed was personally too soft for me. Complimentary breakfast was great. Something for everyone. We would definitely return to this property, and most likely will. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean, convenient and well-priced

Oct 12th, 2019

The Fairfield Inn on Granite Run is just off Route 30, convenient to downtown Lancaster, Dutch Wonderland, American Music Theater and the outlets. The hotel itself is pretty standard Fairfield Inn but that was perfect with us for a short visit to Lancaster. The hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly and available and the room was as expected, clean with a nice bed and standard bathroom with a shower. Our stay included a free breakfast which included the usual eggs and sausage, cereals, breads, fruit and drinks. and great coffee which is served all day. Beware: the water in Lancaster is awful, overtreated with something that makes it very salty and it's almost impossible to rinse off soap. You will definitely want to bring some good drinking water! Lack of sleep in Lancaster

Sep 27th, 2019

Although location is mostly renovated, rooms and bathroom is small but nicely appointed. The mattress was average although mattress pad on bed was not large enough. Our major problem was with the pillows. They were made of "pieces" of stuffing that were extremely uncomfortable even sleeping on two of them. We requested different pillows for our second night which they furnished; however were made of same material and just "rounder" in shape and provided no comfort either. When we addressed the issue at checkout, the manager said "it's a personal preference." Over the past 30 years we have stayed at hundreds of hotels across the United States of may brand name hotels including other Fairfield Inns and never had such restless nights at any of them. Additionally, we suffer from severe allergies and it was evident that the air conditioner had not been cleaned or serviced in a long while. This issue, when addressed, resulted in no answer or solution. Marriott only selects certain guests to post reviews and we were not "invited" to do so. Total stay of two nights was a waste of money. Breakfast was only average-had to request yogurt? Meat option was unidentifiable and cinnamon rolls were stale. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
