Perfect Location

I loved where this hotel was located. Close to everything we wanted to see including The Old Market, the zoo, and the river front park. The breakfast was really good and I could see the staff making sure everything was clean. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Welcoming Staff

May 15th, 2019

My sister and I were stuck in Omaha on our way to Des Moines. We booked here very last minute while stuck in Denver. This was a LONG trip. We checked in around midnight and the lady at the desk was so nice and helpful. WE had nothing with us - we were basically stranded. She got us everything we needed to get thru the night best we could with being stuck. Gentleman at the desk in the morning was just as wonderful. We briefly saw the GM in the morning when we were leaving - he also seemed fantastic! I want to work here! Needless to say - we ended up renting a car and driving to Des Moines. Thank you all for making our trip less out of control. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Night of April 25th C/O on 26th. We hardly ever stay at select service hotels. We both travel often typically stay at Sheraton, Westins and larger Hilton brands. This was a pleasant surprise. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Convenient

May 13th, 2019

Convenient location. Staff was professional. Room was clean. Wished breakfast selection would have been a little bigger, but did appreciate the fresh oatmeal and scrambled eggs. A soccer tournament was in the area so we had a bus of girls unload when we did and were worried. They were on a different floor and we never heard any noise, and apparently had breakfast a a different time so no problems. It is right by a train track but never saw or heard any trains. Did hear some road traffic but didn't wake us up. Beds were comfy. Need more parking - some spots were closed off for 3 days straight. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Ask for Charledean

May 1st, 2019

Some hotels advertise as a "home away from home" and then there's the Fairfield Inn in Omaha where you really experience it. It starts at check-in, where the staff is not only friendly but sincerely want to make sure their guests are treated like family. The manager there seems to set the tone. He's a happy, affable guy who has decades in the business, so he knows what he's doing. It seems like more of a vocation for him than a job. And the rooms and the beds are so comfortable. I don't sleep well in most hotels, but I sleep like I'm at home there. But to really get that homey feel, you have to meet Charledean - she runs the breakfast spread every morning. She's been doing it for a very long time and she ensures everything is just right - she's picky that way, she wants you to have a great start to a great day, so everything is top notch. She really takes pride in her work and you can feel that. But more than that, Charledean sincerely loves the guests like they are family. I've stayed at Fairfield in Omaha about a dozen times now (business trips) - and she always remembers my name. In fact, I've grown to think of Charledean as a friend. On my last trip, I was sharing ultrasound pics of my first grandchild. I'm not alone - I see how she interacts with the guests - she has a sincere smile for everyone. If you're headed to Omaha, there's only one place to stay. I recommend Fairfield Inn on every level. If you see Charledean while you're there, tell her I said "hi!" TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
