Not up to Marriott standards. Not COVID clean.

First at check-in, we had a “Trainee” working. She didn’t know how many beds were in each room or where to direct us to park. I requested the 2 rooms be close to each other and we ended up being at the opposite side of the floor. I happened to see the breakfast forms covering the desk and asked about it. She then gave me the form. A ride on the elevator to our room did not inspire confidence in our stay as it was very dirty. The lobby is also allowing mask-less guests to come and go. Not a very Covid preventative hotel. We go to our room and it’s super dated and not clean. We pull out the queen sleeper sofa bed to find a dirty sheet with food and pubic hair on it. We call down to the front desk who then sends housekeeping. They inspect it and say it’s fine did you ask for a “bed in a bag at check in?” We told them to look at the dirty sheet and they say “wow that should not have happened.” They spend 15 minutes finding a clean fitted bed pad to fit the bed. We hear banter about being out of laundered queen bed pullout sheets. Then they return and change the fitted sheet and drop off the “bed in the bag.” They essentially drop it off and we are left to make the bed. What??? Super fun to do after a long day of travel. Marriott should be ashamed of charging $140 a night for this hotel or “motel.” So far a manager has not contacted me, even though I requested this. Very disappointing. Don’t bother staying here. It’s not a real Marriott. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not Enforcing COVID-19 Mask Requirements
Sep 19th, 2020
Room is fine - a standard room. Bed, desk, chair, TV. Mostly clean. Here's the thing: priority #1, #2, and #3 for a hotel is the safety of guests. Period. This hotel is not enforcing the requirement that guests wear masks in public areas. On more than one occasion there have been groups of people in the lobby area not wearing masks in plain sight of the front desk staff and the staff did not take action to enforce the hotel's "requirement." This puts all other guests and all the people those guests come in contact with and all the people those people come in contact with and so on and so on at risk for contracting a deadly virus and it's just unacceptable. Simply put, this Marriott property is failing in keeping its guests safe and so it gets one star because I can't give zero stars. If hotel management is reading this, I don't want an apology or an excuse or bonus points - I want you to fix it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Travel during Pandemic
Jul 29th, 2020
Had to travel during pandemic. This was this best hotel we stayed in. Wasn't perfect, but they seemed to be trying to cover the bases. The open breakfast was closed, but they had a menu for you to pick items to build a pick-up breakfast in a bag that was better than anywhere else we stayed. Staff was friendly and they had the most available sanitizers, etc. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Consistently Great Stay
Jun 22nd, 2020
We have stayed in this hotel several times in the last three years as my daughter attended a nearby university. We have never had a bad stay here. This last visit was as comfortable as the Covid situation could make it. This is because of the fact that the pool had not opened yet or the whirlpool which are both favorites of ours. Speaking of this coronavirus situation, I can say with extreme confidence and seriousness that this is probably The safest and cleanest hotel!! They have gone to great lengths to make sure everything is cleaned with alcohol and the rooms were the cleanest we’ve ever seen!! Despite the sterility of the atmosphere the customer service was warm. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Shocked and sad
Jan 16th, 2020
I came into town with my husband for his grandmothers funeral. The first room we stayed in had a terrible smell, we complained, and the receptionist moved our room. The second room also had an odor. It was already late and we had driven 15 hours and I didn’t want to move rooms again, so I decided to just deal with the smell. When we checked out, we were asked if we smoked in the room. We told them we did not (we didn’t!!!) and they charged me $500 for two nights. I feel like I have been cheated and stolen from, and I will never stay at another Marriott hotel again. On top of that, there was a pubic hair on the toilet seat and the room was small, despite being an upgraded “king bed” room. This place is a joke and they robbed my husband and I of $250 during our time of grief. Beware. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
