Poorly run, dirty, gross

Lets say we checked in and checked out the same night. The room was dirty from the beginning. Things were missing as well. The hotel smelled like smoke everywhere. In the elevator, hall. It was evident smoking (of various kinds) was happening in the rooms. Then the problem. We are in a pandemic and there was puke all over the hall way and we learned later in the lobby too. They had one person working so while they tried to clean he also had to tend to guests. I had much higher expectations when traveling during covid. There should be urgency to clean and deal with smoking in rooms.. When we checked in the gentleman up front was great, kind, informative, etc. Every other employee looked annoyed and didn’t even say hello in the hall. Wow. Stay away!!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I have been staying at this location on and off for the last 2 months. Everyone here has treated me like family! From management to the front desk agents to the lovely lady who works the breakfast area. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. It’s a great location, loving staff and amazing beds! I wanted to give an AWESOME review for this hotel because I loved everything about it. I thank the staff for being friendly,courteous, and honest. There was a bit of a mix up with the charges on my card, but I thank Front Desk Associate,Hagan, for being honest about the mistake and doing everything she could to make sure my stay was still pleasurable. Caleb, the Assistant Manager, was also helpful in acknowledging the mistake and explaining the process. I was impressed with the glass shower, the bluetooth speaker with USB connections, the refrigerator and microwave organized discreetly underneath the desk, and the breakfast bar with oatmeal condiments that included brown sugar, cinnamon, and dried fruit & nuts. Rude, Publically questioned about credit card on file/ability to pay only AFTER was seen with dog (Pet friendly my butt!

Our check-in process on 11/15 was amazing. The young lady on duty at 8 pm at the desk went above and beyond to give me my first floor requested room because of my dog and two small kids. She took my credit card as I disclosed I had paid in full for the room, but needed to pay the $50 pet deposit. Today (11/16) a different woman was working the front desk. Near the breakfast area when I was coming in with my dog and two toddlers she was all smiles until she saw my dog and then her countenance totally changed. I noted it but went in to my room because I was trying to avoid loud kids and dog in the lobby since I was on my own. Two hours later as I was again rushing to get out without kids or dog issues, one year old on my hip, three yearold fighting me not wanting to hold my hand, dog pulled on as short of leash as possible this same women stops to ask me about my credit card. She states I gave a single use credit card and she just wanted to make sure it was good for the full amount. I explained it was not a single use card, but my standard credit card and that I had paid in full for our room through a third party site and I had given that card (and thought charged) the night before at check-in. She continued to repeat herself loudly in front a lobby full of people claiming I had given a single use credit card and she didn't see my third party payment in full. I repeatedly asked if everything was ok because I had paid and had given a credit card for the pet fee. I walked away and immediately called the third party reservation to confirm paid in full and it was with exception of pet fee that the hotel was given my card for. I then called Marriott corporate to make them aware of the extremely poor customer experience I had just had. I was assured that they agreed it was not handled properly and that they would make the hotel manager aware so I would hear from that manager to try to make things right. I have been away all day for my planned activities in the town, but have not received the first email or call on this issue. We are booked through tomorrow and now I feel like we are Walking back in to an establishment where the front desk clearly suspected I didn't pay my pet fee or provided some faulty credit card and instead of handling that discreetly, singled me out in the most crowded time in the lobby while I was struggling on my own with two toddlers and the dog. Uncalled for. We are in this town for my husband's military service this weekend and we have experienced visial profiling, discrimination because we had the dog and evidently looked shady to this woman, rudeness, and a total lack of regard for handling the customer. We will never stay at a Fairfield again and pet friendly is certainly a false statement here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Teddy and Nancy went above and beyond in order to ensure I had a pleasant stay. This is a pet friendly hotel so feel free to bring the entire family. I really enjoyed my stay and if I'm in the area again this would be my first choice TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
