Very nice stay

We enjoyed our over night stay. Hotel was easy access from I 20. Staff were friendly. Room very clean and up to date. Breakfast is grab and go at this time. Only complaint is the air conditioning unit is so loud it was hard to get any real sleep, even with ear plugs. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Dirty with superficial renovations.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites has had a superficial renovation. Lipstick on a pig. 1) Scratched, damaged old furniture 2) 11-year-old small TVs 3) Stained and threadbare sofa 4) Mildew and pink mold in shower 5) Dirty rooms. Hair on toilet seat, hair on nightstand, nails clippings on carpeting 6) Employees and guests not wearing face masks. Do not stay here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Covid concerns but nice people

I arrived late in the evening and when I walked in I was surprised to find the clerk at the check in desk, checking in a patron who also was not wearing a mask. Yes, there was an incomplete partition, but also signs everywhere saying masks were required. The other patron did apologize to me and said he left his mask in the car. The clerk was unconcerned. After her handling my credit card and ID I assure you I wiped them both down with sanitizer which was available in the lobby. In the room the cleaning was incomplete with glitter and some other small pieces of trash in the bathroom. When we travel on the road I carry bleach wipes and gave the place a good wipedown all over. If it were not so late i likely would have tried looking somewhere else. On the plus side the staff were certainly nice and aside from the person at check in the did all seem to be wearing masks. We stayed at this property on September 30, 2020. This was the last night of a long road trip and we stayed in a total of 8 different Marriott properties during the trip. This was by far our worst experience. We stayed in rooms 125 and 127. My room was 125, the shower was pretty disgusting with stains around the drain. Friends stayed in 127, they woke up in the middle of the night to find roaches in the bed! Needless to say they didn’t sleep anymore that night! We ended up just getting up and checking out early. There were also fan in the hallway and strong paint smell where they were doing some renovations. The night clerk just said thanks she would make a note of the bugs! I called back to Speak to the manager a couple of times but was told “they have their own hours” and they couldn’t tell me when a manager would be in to work that day. Marriott Bonvoy was of no help either. I would avoid this hotel! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Worst Hotel Experience

I normally don't leave bad reviews...I just would not patronize the establishment again. However the behavior of this employee (Ms. Patel, whom was the face of the brand when we checked in) was so unprofessional and not Hospitable at ALL. I had to speak up..... We reserved two rooms (one under family and friends discount) the discounted room has a form that our family member emailed and told us to present to the front desk upon check in... we arrived at 10pm exhausted with child in arms, only to be told we had to have form printed. My daughter kindly asked if we could use the business center? Ms.Patel responded "it is not my responsibility to print, and the center was closed". She also added that since Covid they were instructed NOT to help people any more....so confused by her rant that I walk outside to get my husband and saw a guest that look like my family and asked about his stay so far..He put his head down and said " we've been here for three days and shes given us HELL" I have to believe she was racist... I gather my thoughts and try to rationalize why I should have my family stay. Exhausted and know we need to sleep because we have an early morning I decided we all would just stay in my room and some one could sleep in the chair... I will deal with the situation in the morning. We go to check out ONLY to be told Ms.Patel decided to charge for a room we canceled. And instructed the staff NOT TO HELP US!!!!. Its so much more to this review I'd like to say but hopefully this is enough to help you make an informed decision before booking. Lastly I pulled the covers back only to realize they popped the sheets.. for those that don't know google it. If the sheets have mattress imprint they have not been changed.. I know this is a Franchise.. Marriot be more selective with your Owners/Partners because who they employ represents your brand!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
