Warm and professional service, gourmet dining and numerous activities
It is pricey to stay here
With its perch at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, Fairmont Chateau Whistler is a ski lodge with a luxurious flair. After a day on Whistler's slopes (or, during warmer months, on the greens at The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club), guests can soothe sore muscles in the fitness center's whirlpools or with a massage at Vida Spa. Hungry lodgers applaud the Fairmont's on-site eateries, especially The Wildflower's Italian-inspired menu. The dark wood- and leather-filled Mallard Lounge also wows diners with its cocktails and warm, après-ski ambiance. Recent lodgers appreciated the expansive views and cozy bedding within the guest rooms and suites. As for the rooms, guests can expect mountain-style decor and amenities such as free Wi-Fi. Members of the Accor Live Limitless program can earn points for staying here.

Critic Reviews

Designed in a modern interpretation of the classic old railway lodges, this is Whistler's landmark hotel.

Just steps from the Blackcomb ski lifts, this imposing-looking fortress is a self-contained, ski-in, ski-out resort-within-a-resort with its own shopping arcade, golf course, and impressive spa.

Lonely Planet

Enjoying ski-in, gondola-out privileges at the foot of Blackcomb Mountain, the Fairmont is like a 'village' within the Village. Chateau-esque in nature and grand in scale, it's not nearly as old as other Canadian landmark hotels, although the huge campus includes designer shops, a spa, gym, pools (it's plural here!) and a sprawling bar worthy of a baronial castle.
