Great service and property

Apr 21st, 2019

Stayed in Fairmont gold section. Totally worth it. Free self park, breakfast in gold lounge and afternoon appetizers. And the service was excellent. Out 8 year old loved the pools - great time at the pool with slides. Definitely recommend. Will admit the resort is huge and spread out. But the walk or golf cart ride was lovely. Great Trip

Fairmont Scottsdale has been amazing. Some of the best poolside service especially from Tristan who went way over and beyond. Would definitely recommend checking this place out. The pools are relaxing and still fun for kids. Restaurants are excellent and plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. Great for families! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect Paradise

Apr 17th, 2019

Our visit was beyond all expectations. And my expectations were high, based on reviews. From the first moment we arrived, everyone we encountered asked if we had been helped or could they help us. Our room was beautiful, spacious and clean. Had all the amenities we could want. The pool staff was friendly and attentive. Our spa experience was wonderful. The spa offered pretty much anything you would want. The restaurants and food offerings were plentiful. We loved every moment of our visit. Toni TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

To Casita or not to Casita?

Apr 17th, 2019

Having never been to Scottsdale I spent a fair amount of time trying to determine just the right spot for us to spend a few days. I'll skip any discussion of the resort itself - there is a lot of information on this site about that subject and speak specifically about the Casita where we stayed. The room was large. A nice living area and a big bedroom. The bathroom had a large shower, a separate toilet room and a ton of counter space. It really could have been perfect, but for the cost of the room, I could see some improvements. First, the bed had a big dip on my side. It was not very comfortable. Our patio was small (and uncleaned) and although promised a view it was partial at best. The room could use some updates (new paint, updated tile, etc) but was fine. The robes are AMAZING. My favorite of any place we've stayed. The one recommendation I would give is that if you want quiet, request to be on the 2nd floor. We had a family above us and the kids liked to jump around, jump robe, and talk and play loudly. I love that they were having fun and I love taking my kids on vacation, I just don't like to listen to them while I'm away for a few days relaxing. Also, please be aware that you can park your car outside of the Casita area and avoid the parking charges. We missed that for the first day. The Casitas are Expensive and you almost get your money's worth. I did love having all of the extra space and being away from the middle of the activities. Food is pricey too but about what you would expect at a large resort. Room service was very fast and the food was as good as if you went to the restaurants. The casitas have their own small pool. It too could use some maintenance. Some of the cushions were torn and the plaster around the pool was chipped in a few places. It was nice though to have a smaller private pool to sit by and read a book. There is no bar or food at this pool so think ahead. There is no power at this pool so charge your phones ahead of time. All in all a nice experience. With some upgrades it would be awesome. We enjoyed eating and enjoying a glass of wine in the main bar area. We walked the property several times enjoying all of the things to see. The front desk was helpful and check in/out was very quick. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
