Long Overdue Romantic Get-Away

The weekend of our stay, we had great weather and a full moon. The property is lovely, and The Fairmont is very innovative in providing outdoor gathering solutions with lighting and fire pits. They offered live music, Cabana private dining overlooking the pool, outside dining from their restaurant, and a food truck courtyard with lots of social distancing options. We had a romantic get-away, and it will be perfect for a day trip with the girls. I am definitely coming back and highly recommend it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Relaxing weekend

We came to the hotel from Seattle to escape the winter rain. The drive from San Francisco was short just a little over an hour. The hotel setting is a beautiful garden setting . Our room was ready when we arrived using the online checkin . We stayed in a suite with a fireplace. The spa was open for guest to use the pools . We had a great weekend. ! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful property for family vacation

Great facilities, pools are wonderful, food great, staff responsive. Sonoma is a lovely area to visit esp if you like hiking. We had problems with the central heating the first night in our suite but the manager made up for the issue by extending our stay with a discount. Horrible service. No Hot Water.

Horrible service. No Hot Water. We checked in for one night to have the rudest desk clerk. We could hardly hear him and he made a rude comment that the on site restaurant was sold out for the Valentines fix price menu. Little did he know nor ask we had a reservation. We where given a room in the original building on the second floor which is actually two flights of stairs up. The room was nice and well laid out. As we had been on the Sonoma Coast hiking that day I decided to take a bath. I could never get hot water. I thought maybe a lot of guests where showering for their now 2/13 pre Valentines Dinners. In preparing for bed I could not get hot water to wash my face. Then in the morning it was ICE COLD out of the shower and sink. I called the front desk to be told they knew the entire building was without hot water. I asked for an accommodation on my bill. For $400 a night I expect hot water. When we went to check out the line at the desk was deep and we had plans so we left in good faith that the hotel would discount our stay at least $100 for the major inconvenience of not hot water. I never received a folio after I left. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they where working to discount all guest and figuring it out. I tried to call Tuesday 2/16 and the mailbox for accounting was full. So I could not leave a message there. I left one with the concierge deck asking for a call back. Then on Wednesday when my credit card was charged the full amount and I was still not in receipt of any returned calls nor a detailed breakdown of the charges for my stay I phoned the hotel again. The mailbox for accounting remained full. The front desk did not pick up the call. I then selected reservations and they are offsite. After a lengthy hold I was connected to Ashely. She said it was my fault they did not discount my bill nor send an accounting of my stay as I used a third party booking site. She made me feel second class. She sent me an email with my bill on February 17th and per my request to speak to a manager included my folio and that "Also, one of my managers should be reaching out in the next day or so" I am still waiting for this phone call or any accommodation to my bill or even an apology. I would never stay her again. I think the Motel 6 would have been more pleasant to deal with! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful spa day

My daughter and I spent the morning at the spa. The massages were outstanding. The spa therapists are top notch, very professional, follow COVID safety procedures, it was very safe and relaxing. My only wish is that the food service at the pool area was better. Having visited several times, I'm always disappointed with the limited menu...but this time the cafe wasn't open at all. We had been told they'd open at noon, but by 1pm there was no one there at all. We decided to leave the property for lunch. I'll be back, but might pack my own lunch :-) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
