Friendly staff; Irish restaurant with popular breakfasts; and clean rooms
Fees for Wi-Fi access
This Irish-inflected hotel (you'll find its flagship location in Dublin) anchors Manhattan's East Side. The hotel sits within walking distance of iconic landmarks, including St. Patrick's Cathedral, Fifth Avenue and Central Park. And if you've never had an Irish breakfast before, recent patrons highly recommend trying your first here at The Fitz bar and restaurant. Once you've had your fill of Manhattan's memorable sights and sounds, retire to your clean, spacious digs, where you'll find deluxe amenities like thick bathrobes and modern conveniences like an iPod docking station and a flat-screen TV. The only downside, according to a few recent visitors, is the steep Wi-Fi charges ($14.95 a day). But apart from this slight drawback, most report a pleasant stay overall thanks to the warm, gracious hotel staff.
