All guest rooms and suites come with iMac computers
The property's celebrity clientele and two nightclubs make this a less-than-ideal option for travelers seeking peace and quiet
Fontainebleau Miami Beach once hosted big wigs like Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. Now its swanky, cabana-corralled pool is studded with the likes of Katy Perry and Rihanna. What do today's celebs get when they check-in? The luxe Lapis spa (with age-defying facials and mineral water pools) and a choice of seven restaurants. Plus, the property's 22 oceanfront acres house 1,504 guest rooms and suites equipped with iMacs, flat-screen TVs, bathrobes and minibars. The hotel's $32 daily hotel fee also covers unlimited in-room Wi-Fi access and one fitness class per stay. But even with all of the flashy perks and celeb spotting, Fontainebleau's recent guests seem the most impressed with the staff. Past travelers described the customer service here as out of this world. Maintaining its reputation as the playground of the stars, Fontainebleau also boasts its own nightlife scene with the BleauLive and LIV nightclubs. If you're hoping for a more relaxing Miami Beach, Florida, stay, consider booking elsewhere.

Critic Reviews

In 2008, the hotel underwent a billion-dollar renovation and emerged with a classic-contemporary look and fabulous collection of art. Contemporary art prints can be found throughout, though the most prized art possessions are the layer cake chandeliers in the lobby made by Chinese activist and artist Ai Wei Wei.

Ring-a-ding-ding is back in the swing at a longtime classic designed by Morris Lapidus in the 1950s a couple of dozen blocks above South Beach – with today's glam supplied not by Elvis, Marlene Dietrich, and the Rat Pack but the likes of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Pitbull. Renovated and expanded to the tune of a cool billion dollars in 2008, this three-tower behemoth sprawling over 20 acres provides enough amenities and variety to please a wide spectrum, from party-hearty types and urban sophisticates to families and conventioneers (those seeking a quiet hideaway, not so much).

Travel + Leisure

This crescent-shaped landmark hotel has a longstanding reputation for grandeur. ... Everything is done on a grand scale here, from the room count (1,504) to the humongous chandeliers to the elaborate pool – which has three whirlpools, a two-story waterfall, and a children's play area with a lazy river and giant water slide.

This is 'the' hot spot of Miami Beach, where you just might brush elbows with celebrities and the ultra elite. The property offers a variety of room types, each offering a spectacular view.

Condé Nast Traveler

Miami Beach's largest hotel feels like a luxury cruise ship on land. Between 1,504 rooms (including 658 suites), 12 restaurants and lounges (including the likes of Hakkasan and Scott Conant's Scarpetta), multiple swimming pools, and plenty of beachfront, there's constant excitement at this iconic Art Deco landmark – and endless opportunity for leisure.
