Modern hotel in industrial area - quiet, spacious, good parking
Jun 23rd, 2020
Four Points by Sheraton Bolzano is a modern hotel on the other side of the river from the historic centre of the city, which is about 5km / 10 minute drive away. The hotel offers good, secure parking at 20 euros a night, fast wifi and large rooms. There is a gym and a pool and a spa, although in June the pool and the spa were closed due to the Covid outbreak. The gym had both free weights and some machines. The hotel is fitted out with the slightly funky style so beloved of chains trying to be hip, but the staff are professional and the bar is excellent with a huge selection of drinks and cocktails and a very trendy barman who speaks excellent German, English and Italian. Bolzano is a great city to visit but beware that on Mondays both the Iceman museum and the Runkelstein castle are closed. The air con in our room 327 wasn't great but in our kids' room 328 it was excellent. Bathroom is big, wifi worked and the stripped down Covid-19 breakfast was acceptable. Good coffee but a limited selection via the counter in a time of epidemic. The chef with a beard does a great omelette. His colleague, not so good (but very friendly). Patio restaurant we reviewed separately, very good. Masks required in all public spaces, plenty of hand sanitisation stations and easy push lift buttons (elbow friendly). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good hotel if passing through

I have mixed feelings about this review. On its face, the hotel was very contemporary and rather whimsical with the artwork and furnishings. We slept well, the rooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable. So theoretically, it should get a good review. However, here is why I didn't give it a higher rating. 1. Walls in room were stained. 2. Lines at reception desk were long 3. Request for towels took 2 days. 4. Put a towel down on the floor of the bathtub as the shower is slippery. This is NOT a good hotel to use as a base for sightseeing. There is a convenient bus stop right outside the hotel that you can take to the historic city center. However, the bus takes about 20 minutes or more to get there. Not very convenient. Better for a passing thru or for business in that area. No restaurants nearby, but there is a supermarket. Thank you so much to the employee at breakfast who took pity on us when we showed up late for breakfast because the reception desk told us that it was open a half hour later than it was. He took us to the restaurant and fed us. Great PR!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not bad, though nothing special

Located outside the city center, close to highway, so it's convenient for night stopover. Service is good. Room is typical with tasteless furniture and design. Bathroom is OK. SPA works from 2 pm, swimming pool is open from 6 am till late in the evening, though it's swimming pool for one, two would bump into each other. Breakfast was really good. By the way, there are plenty of free parking places nearby. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Comfy Hotel and super friendly staff
Oct 24th, 2019
When in Bozen this is my usual accomodation. The hotel is conveniently located a few steps away from the Exhibition Centre and is offering enough amenities for a few days staying. The restaurant is up to the expectation and the staff is super friendly but still professional as in a Sheraton it is supposed to be. I forgot my Kindle and would love to thank Mr Luca at the front desk whom safely stowed it until my return a couple of weeks later TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
