Okay for a no-frills place to crash

Stayed here overnight on March 6, 2020, as part of a weekend road trip to Portland. Staff surprised me with an upgrade. Originally booked a deluxe double room, got a two-room double king suite (room 412). There were a few things I pointed out to the staff that dampened the experience: Room was overall dimly lit, one of the rooms in the suite didn’t have outlets (they were sealed up with a cosmetic cover; the standing lamp wasn’t plugged in). My guess it’s because they’re in the process of renovating the whole hotel. Other than that, it was pretty much what I come to expect from a Four Points. There were flat screen TV’s in the common area of the suite and in each room, and complimentary coffee/tea/bottled water. I would still recommend this place as it has free parking in a diamond parking lot beside the hotel, and the rooms and common spaces appeared clean as far as I know. I’m a Marriott/Bonvoy Silver Elite member (ID# ends in 5022). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Checked in after 11PM looking forward to a good night sleep and asked for a quiet room. Was assured that they were all quiet. After washing up and getting into bed, heard a non-stop beeping sound. Had to call the front desk twice before someone came to my room and it turns out it comes from the street and there is nothing that can be done and no rooms to move to because they are full. Also the rug is wet. I hope it’s just water. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good Rooms. Good Breakfast. Poor Internet.

Pros Rooms: Spacious rooms. Multiple charging ports conveniently located next to bed. Elite Recognition: Elite status recognized and due benefits delivered. Love it when hotels deliver on due elite benefits. Breakfast: Good breakfast. Love it that that the breakfast is alacarte and that we get a breakfast credit on the bill. Areas of Opportunity Internet: The internet is very bad. Extremely slow. To give an example, Feedly would not even on the computer. However, despite the slow internet, I give the hotel 5-stars as the breakfast credit combined with getting my due elite benefits made it worth the 5-star. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Jason Babcock went above and beyond in his customer service when our room was not available on time. Great staff support as well. Our first visit and the internet was up to speed, however, the last few nights the internet was terrible. Could not do my job online terrible. I ended up at a local pub to complete my work. Right in the heart of Seattle and I have had better internet in Iraq and Afghanistan. That is not an overstatement. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
