Fantastic Operation

Feb 10th, 2020

We spent a weekend here and will not be staying anywhere else when in San Antonio. Lobby had a lodge feel with a nice balcony and fire pits, a nice pool, decent size workout center. Most importantly though, everybody from the bartender at the restaurant, to the receptionist, to the shuttle bus driver was very nice, and the room was very clean. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed While Touring Universities

Jan 27th, 2020

Central location for touring local San Antonio universities. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Rooms were spacious, modern, and clean. Really enjoyed the rustic outdoor covered seating area with a fireplace. Would stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Staff is wonderful, lobby and restaurant are great, but rooms are a bit loud

Jan 8th, 2020

You won't regret staying her for the hospitality or the service - they are fantastic! The service in the restaurant was friendly and helpful from breakfast through to drinks after dinner. The front desk always had a smile and a warm hello for you. Really can't say enough about the staff. The room however was not as sound proof as I would have preferred - you could hear the highway noise and sirens at night (was on the 3rd floor). Maybe this could be fixed if you were on the other side of the hotel. The shower could have used some maintenance around the edges (you could tell the seal was getting old and starting to come off). BUT, the bed was comfy, pillows were nice, and the room was clean - so all in all it was a good experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Comfortable, practical and pretty

Jan 7th, 2020

I've been to San Antonio many times but it's the first time I stay in this hotel. Won't be the last. I was skeptical because I had never stayed in a our Ponts before, but now I will look for them anywhere I go. Their prices were great considering the value we got. The hotel is spotless, looks fairly new and has a great vintage-cozy feel to it. They have adjoining rooms if you need them and the possibility of ADA rooms as well. The mattress is so comfortable as are the pillows. Rooms are very spacious and all have mini-fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Wi-Fi and all the amenities you could want like, pool, jacuzzi, fitness center, etc. But one of he best features of the hotel is it's magnificent location. I have to mention the great staff also. I required a wheelchair during my stay and called the hotel to see if they had one. Jacob took my call and informed me they do not have this service but before I could hang up, he asked me to wait. Two minute later he had calle a neighboring hotel, asked them for their chair and lent it to me. When I got to the hotel, the chair was waiting for me. That's going above and beyond for customer service. Jacob, I cannot thank you enough. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel property

Sep 18th, 2019

I wanted an inexpensive place near the airport for my trip. Many of the nearby properties had stories of roaches, outdated decor, and sketchy parking lots. I chose this property based on Tripadvisor reviews and was not disappointed. This is a clean, safe property which to me, is in the Courtyard Marriott tier of hotels. Even though this property is adjacent to a major free way and the airport, my room faced the Hampton Inn and was relatively quiet. Rooms: Small, but clean. My room had 2 queens with a chair. There was a decent sized desk with a small dorm fridge. Bathroom was average size, updated and really well lit. Room looked and felt really clean, although the hallways had a slight musty odor to it. Room was well equipped with USB ports. Bathroom had a dispenser for shampoo and soap which on the one hand was nice, but I felt the quality of products was not as good as what say, Marriott Courtyard or Hampton Inn offers in individual bottles. Location: 5 minutes from San Antonio airport with easy access on and off the freeway. Many dining options nearby - there was a Cracker Barrell and an Applebees well within walking distance. Pappadeaux was also walkable - but slightly further away. Plenty of parking, and the lot was well lit and felt safe. Amenities: Average gym with numerous cardio machines. There were dumbells but no weight bench. Major demerits for what I felt was the worst internet connection I have ever experienced in a hotel. Connection was slow and intermittent for the 2 days I was there. When I had something important I needed to look at, I went and used the lobby computer. Service: Friendly and efficient.
