Not pleased or impressed

I worked in hospitality at a Marriott for 4 years, so I expect the best, but of course understand when some things happen out of someone’s control. 1. Upon walking into the hotel we were not greeted at all, but immediately told to put a mask on. Not even greeted after we put masks on. Of course we understood that everywhere has different standards when it comes to masks, but to not even be greeted was mind blowing. 2. After putting our masks on and standing there to get checked in, the gentleman did not ask my name for the room reservation so I just said it. 3. He checked me in and did not tell me a single thing about the hotel, not even where the elevators were. 4. I went to the front desk after coming from the pool so I could add a name to my reservation so a guest could get a key later that night, I didn’t have a mask with me cause I literally came from the pool. The lady at the desk said she couldn’t help me without a mask, I explained my situation and asked if she had one. She said no and that she couldn’t help me without a mask. If you are going to require a mask, they should be provided. 5. Someone moved our things off our towels in the pool areas and stole our towels. When we told the front desk they got us towels (great) but were not concerned that our things were touched and showed no sympathy. 6. Fridge in room was leaking when we returned from the pool, thankfully the maintenance replaced it (great). 7. Elevators are beyond don’t even bother and take the stairs. 8. Music was playing all night, extremely annoying for our friend trying to sleep on the pull out bed by the door. 9. AC unit made a big thud sound every time it turned off. Honestly, overall not impressed with the hospitality with the people or quality of this hotel. I hold Marriott brands to a higher standard than what we received. Hopefully this comment will be taken into consideration and they will try to improve. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

good experience at breakfast

We went on 03/13/2021 and were served by Katerina at breakfast and definitely it felt like we were kings. She went above and beyond for us to have a good experience. Excellent service from picking up the phone for reservation until the goodbye when we left. Really great. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Valentine's weekend

Nice room! King in the corner. It's right by smoking area. Despite how noisy outside, fairly quiet inside. Would recommend. It's clean and smells good. Parking was tight, but the staff has been very helpful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We have stayed at this property at least a dozen times over the past years and continued to return because of the friendly staff, cleanliness, and suite accommodations. This past visit we received a $150- add on fee for a mark on a dresser. After speaking to the manager twice and being falsely accused of marking the dresser he stated he believes his housekeeping staff over a loyal 67 yr. old patron. We told Jonathan, the manager, we did not even use the dresser and was in and out of the room quickly due to the holiday and accommodating our 92 yr old mother next door.. Our overnight bag was in the front room and a few clothes in the closet. He refused to believe us and stated he has a picture of the marked dresser. After asking if there could be a mistake again he refused to even entertain the idea that perhaps his housekeeping overlooked the previous guest or made the mark themselves with cleaning equipment. This was our home in Tampa while visiting family, Along with a family members corporate events. I would not stay there unless you want an add fee and want to be accused of lying!!! We are very responsible and honest individuals and take great offense to this accusation. Beware and go elsewhere!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
