Five star quality food. Reasonable prices. Much better than those restaurants outside. Highly recommended. Of course, rooms are top notc h too. The road work outside is pretty annoying. Great location, minutes from Red Square. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We frequently stay in 5 star hotels all over the world and have had many stays which were awarded ‘excellent’ - but this really was the best hotel experience we ever had. We stayed twice in our July trip to Russia. First Impressions: superb location minutes from St Basil’s, Red Square, GUM, Kremlin and wonderful stores. I must single out the staff member (Anfisa) who was our first - and frequent cheery efficient - contact. She was truly outstanding assisting our early arrival at 7:00am from Australia ensuring we got a room /welcome drinks and nibbles and could not do enough. We were fortunate enough to encounter her again when we checked in for our second visit (and on checkout). Knowing it was my birthday she provided an outstanding complementary upgrade and birthday cake with hotel Babuska as a gift on departure!! Truly personal service and a wonderful hotel ambassador. Rooms - both were upgrades with outstanding views (first time St Basil’s/Red Square) and then DUMA/Bolshoi. Spacious and super clean with generous first class amenities and an iPad to order extra amenities etc. housekeeping ensured spotless rooms and were prompt with every request. We walked everywhere and used metro (again on the doorstep). There is also a huge supermarket behind the hotel, range of good coffee shops and restaurants . The shopping is exceptional with choices in every direction (particularly love GUM and the bookshop/coffee shop on third floor). We loved everything about our trip to Moscow but this experience made it extraordinary. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Worst experience in five star hotel

Aug 31st, 2019

I was really loyal guest of Four seasons hotel chain until I tried the Moscow one. We had a bachelor party for my dearest friend and booked a room for 1 night. We meet at 16.00 pm, really had nice time, laughing, having photo session, the room service was not perfect but fine... but at the midnight, when we were just seating and talking somebody knocked our door. We were a bit surprised as we were not waiting for anybody. I asked who is it and saw that this is two securities. When I opened the door the man in uniform started to talk to me in a very bad manner that our neighbors are complaining that we do too much noise and it is not allowed and if we won’t stop, he will ask for police. I was shocked because there was no loud music and crazy alcoholic party. We are those kind of “boring” girls, who has no strip dancers, drugs and drink a lot, it was really tea time with friends. I said that there is no noise and I really don’t understand why he is talking to me like that. He said that he will talk to the room owner only. The other girl, who booked a room come and he said all the same boorish tone. He even didn’t explain who is he and didn’t tell his name. I didn’t understand why they didn’t call us from reception and kindly ask to be a bit quite if we made some discomfort for the neighbor. Of course we would be fine with that. But nobody calls, nobody asks. They just come at midnight and started to frighten us. the way they did it was absolutely disaster. We didn’t spend much time there after that. We did the check out same evening. But they say we should pay penalties because we were smoking in the room. We didn’t smoke in the room! The receptionist went to the room as we asked to check, is there any smell and she said yes...we said we are not agree and asked to go there all together. When we entered the room, she said there is a smell of alcohol, of course! We had a bath with campaign for our friend. They agree there is no smoke smell...finally we did a check out and I explained the reason we don’t want to stay any more. asked to inform me, what the penalties will be for the security guy. They excused by with no enthusiasm. They didn’t suggest to return us money by the way. Next day I called them and asked again, how they will punish the man, who made the hotel quest to leave the hotel. They promised to call me back and you know what? They didn’t call. I can tell you there are a lot of five stars hotels in Moscow and if you will choose one of them, stay away from four seasons in Moscow. Maybe they have a lot of problems with the guests and believe they can provide service like that. I don’t know. But we were definitely not one of those. It can cost you lots of money and lots of stress. As I feel, it is dengerous because, if the hotel management won’t like you behavior, without any announcement, they will just come to your room and start to frighten you. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
