Great weekend getaway

Jul 15th, 2019

Perfect time at the perfect place over the 4th of July. The pool area at Four Seasons is fantastic with views of the Arch and all riverfront activities. The food is excellent in all of the outlets. Rooms were beautiful and the bed was incredible. I'll be back to this property in the near future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My Future Business Has Been Won

Jul 11th, 2019

I travel quite a bit for business and even leisure - often staying at pretty solid 4 star hotels. Upon arrival at the Four Seasons I immediately realized this truly is a 5 star luxury hotel and that this wouldn't be the typical place I'm used to. First thing we saw while pulling up was a line of beautiful luxury, exotic cars including a brand new lamborghini. If someone with a $260,000 car is going to stay here, you know it's gotta be good. The bell hops were quick to offer assistance and take our bags to our room (which we happily took advantage of after a long day of just getting married). Walking in, tired and exhausted from the day, we were greeted by a very soft, soothing voice of the concierge. The dim lighting combined with her voice immediately allowed us to relax further. We arrived to our room shortly after and saw there was a decorated plate with chocolate covered strawberries and a chocolate rendition of the St. Louis arch accompanied by a complimentary bottle of champaign and a hand written note congratulating us on just getting married! There was a small hiccup with the room though. The fire alarm battery was low, causing it to continuously beep. So we called the concierge and they sent someone up quickly to get it fixed. It took about 10 minutes to fix and if this was a business trip, I wouldn't have cared at all. But it being wedding night, it was definitely a bit of a mood ruiner having a work man come in with his walkie talkie and ladder spending 10ish minutes to fix this when all you want to do is unwind and relax with your new spouse. But he got it fixed and all was well after that. The bed was BY FAR the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! The next morning, we took advantage of the on site restaurant for breakfast and sat in the shade by the pool watching the sun rise. GREAT food - GREAT ambience - GREAT service! Then we checked out and used the complimentary on-site personal driver to give us a free ride (with exception of tip) to the airport in a very nice SUV accompanied with complimentary waters. All around a 5 star experience. They've won my business over in the future! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful venue, disappointing stay

Jul 10th, 2019

Rented a suite for 4th of July Party. Venue, view were terrific but... only 2 bathroom sized garbage cans in suite, no fridge unless you requested it and no flatware nor plates. What? My recent stay at the Westin in KC looked like a palace by comparison. Certainly not what I would expect of a 5 star hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Subpar experience

Jul 8th, 2019

We have stayed at different Four Seasons. Compared to other Four Seasons, our stay was just meh. Bad from the start, shall I say? Don't get me wrong! The hard product is superb. Can I say that the room is spacious and has the best view in town? Can't be more satisfied with the arch view we get. The room is spacious. However, the bathroom smelled like someone smoked in the room before. Parking 3/5 Let me back off and start over with arrival. We drove ourselves on a road trip and ended up in the parking garage of the casino next door. It was a darn zoo - free though so okay, I'll take it. Location - 3/5 I am torn with this. As I mentioned, the room view was fantastic but connected to a chaotic casino is a big no no. I wonder what does Four Seasons management think when the associate themselves with this casino. The clientele does not match with what FS positions themselves to be. Check-ins 2/5 We booked our room with FHR with noon guaranteed check in. We arrived at 3 pm and was informed that we got upgraded to higher floor. What sounds great turns out to be a long waiting game. We were told the room was not ready for our use and the receptionist sent us to the 8th floor for cocktail. Mind you, no apology and cocktail/ snack was offered - very different from our experience with other FS. We just waited and waited. Also was told we will received a text when the room is ready. One hour go by and I came down to check, the lady told me that I can't check in until 4pm?! I informed her about my early check in privilege. 5 minutes later, I got the key to the room. If I didn't check, will I be left waiting for another hour? Food and Bev experience 2/5 This 2 star is not for the quality of the food. The food is AMAZING - french toast, salmon bagel - lovely! But the 2 stars are for poor quality and speed. While waiting for the room, we came to grab a cocktail and a snack. It took 45 MINUTES to make ONE empenadas for $8. How is that even possible? Did they roll the flour from scratch? Just crazy. Breakfast the next morning is fine. Spa 5/5 The spa is saving grace. While it was hard to be connected to the spa front desk, the actual service was wonderful. From the techniques, the service that masseuses provided us in a couple suite was impeccable. Pet-friendly 5/5 Your furry friend will love it here. Our dog received so much love - from the doorman to hotel staffs. If you come to St Louis with your pups, you can perhaps check this out. Overall, it was meh. Would I stay here again? If I have to come to St Louis for work, yeah. But I wouldn't spend $400 to be here with this kind of service - though the spa is worth it. Amazing Dinner and Night To Remember

Jul 7th, 2019

The Cinder House Restaurant at the Four Season of St Louis is Amazing! This was the absolute best meal that my wife and I ever had. The service was spot on. Our server was Dallas Smith. We met and complemented Chef Peter Slay on his preparation and presentation of this fantastic meal. The Restaurant manager Paul Bacheider was very attentive and has a very strong staff. The wine selection was outstanding. My wife had a very special Birthday celebration. Thank You Four Seasons of St. Louis. We will be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
