The Property You Can Enjoy Solo Style

Mar 25th, 2020

Right now solo travel and being alone during this quarantine is the thing to do. But there was a time when solo travel was a luxury. And every now and then, when I am able to get away from the kids and the rigors of family life, I escape to my local spa or terrific property. And for me that is the Four Seasons Westlake Village. I’ve been going there for years by myself. Anytime I felt I needed a spa day, a day by the beautiful pool, or to see the gorgeous Christmas decorations and have a glass of wine at the restaurant Coin & Candor, I’ve always tried to take some time for myself and not feel guilty about it by calling it “self care.” The best part about the Four Seasons Westlake Village is that they welcome solo visitors. There’s nothing strange to sitting alone on the veranda and having a glass of wine, just tinkering on your phone. FYI: There’s been a huge remodel lately and now resulting in a new lounge and the entire lobby has been restructured. The grounds are still as stunning as ever, and if you’re lucky you can still get a day pass to their high-tech gym and enjoy it all to yourself. It’s truly my private oasis and I love every part of this stunning property. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Four seasons best

Mar 22nd, 2020

I’ve stayed at many four seasons hotels around the world on business travel. The one in Westlake Village CA is amongst the best. Elegant decor, great service, high standards with hospitality second to none. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel - limited restaurant options and not great food

Mar 18th, 2020

Amazing hotel, spa and location. Wonderful staff and room. Sadly the food choices are poor - one option to eat if you dont like sushi. And the food we had for dinner was very overcooked. Very disappointed in that. Next time we will eat elsewhere instead TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Staycation

Mar 15th, 2020

The rooms at this facility were super nice. It did not appear that the hotel was at all crowded. There were people constantly opening the doors and greeting you. Room was recentLy renovated. Hotel was super clean. As a guest you have free access to the dry and wet areas in the spa. Grounds were immaculate. They had a great area for kids to play golf or soccer and frisbee golf.. We keep going back!

Mar 4th, 2020

The Four Seasons experience begins with the smile of the doorman, continues through to the smooth check-in, and on to the roomy and nicely appointed room. But, that's just the beginning! The bed is very comfortable, the closet large, and the bathroom huge. Everything feels so NICE. Once in awhile I simply stay in the room to sleep in, watch the pay-per-view movies, read, and enjoy a bit of room service! The spa includes a large jacuzzi tub, zen lounge w/ waterfall for reading or relaxing on chaise lounge chairs, and healthy light snacks. This area leads out to the large pool with attendants to help you with whatever you need, including ordering and delivering food poolside. All included with one's stay(except the food). There are poolside cabanas for rent, and spa services if you wish. I have attended Zumba class, had my nails done, and snacked/lunched at the extraordinary coffee shop. The coffee shop has gelato, salads, sandwiches, and of course a delightful selection of coffees. Coin and Candor, one of the on- premises restaurants, is really lovely, with excellent food and service. We self-parked our car, but valet is available. The Four Seasons is close to shopping, restaurants of every nature, and is close to the freeway. This is a great location, a wonderful hotel, and the staff take excellent care of the guests. We've visited three times in two years, and I can't wait to go back. Note: refrigerators are not included, but are available upon request. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
